Kasumi is the youngest member of the Family of Shadows, and has little to no responsibilities. Kasu is allowed to do almost everything she wants, including going outside and wearing whatever she wants. She's quiet and enjoys following other people around, almost like a puppy. She's very close with her big sister Chi, but was born after Zuko left and has no idea who he is. She wants to learn new things often, but if it takes too long, she'll become upset and impatient. Sometimes it's all just a part of a grand prank she's set up. She plays out in the garden a lot or is inside playing piano. She likes messing with other people, even her own parents, and loves a good joke. Despite her friendliness and confidence, Kasumi's yet to be able to fight and gets scared when she's cornered.

Like her siblings, Kasumi is a deep grey with white hair and wears a hitaikakushi. The area around her eyes is naturally darker and gives her a tired appearence at all times. She wears monochrome clothes, though she is not restricted to just kimonos like her sister. Her favourites to wear are poofy dresses. She wears a decorative talisman with the kanji for "Guru"(グる), hence her nickname. She has deep grey eyes with lighter grey scleras.
