Profile
Reid's design is based on portions and characters from Project Hail Mary, though he is his own character. His personality and self is independent from those in the movie/book, he just has some components in his physical design that are nods to it.
Reid is, in short, a coward. He is overwhelmingly fearful, anxious, and emotional. He much prefers to keep to himself and his own head in his home than brave the outside world. He occupies his time with daydreams and paranoia induced breakdowns. Reid maybe leaves his house.... like once a month.
Reid operates mostly alone. His fears, doubts, and stresses keep him constantly isolated from others and the world around him. He only has one or two people he is willing to talk to, but even then, he tends to self isolate and ignore texts and calls. It is frightening to get close to people, so he tries not to.
He seems to be constantly overwhelmed, stressed, and afraid. His life has been overrun with paranoia that keeps him on edge constantly. There is never a peaceful moment, there is always something lurking.
Reid is a coward. That is important to know as it fully defines him. He takes a backseat on his life, feeling mostly out of control and lost. He feels so behind everyone else and that there is no way to close the gap. Reid also is very quick to tears, though he hates when he cries.

> It's better not to remember it.
Reid does not remember much of his childhood at all. He often thinks that it is for the best, sometimes getting absolutely crushing flashes of memory at random. They show him that he was isolated and ostracized from others, not treated well by family and who he believed to be friends, and finding twisted solace online.
This "solace" was people taking advantage and repeatedly traumatizing him. What else happens when you are a young teenager online with no boundaries nor limits?
> Wish I could forget it.
Reid's isolation continued. With peers in person, he was still pushed out and ignored, often walked over if any attention was given to him. That twisted solace online got worse, him facing increasingly damaging treatment until he was forced offline by very extreme circumstances.
As an adult, he started to stick more and more to himself. Everything was overrun with fear and paranoia. That paranoia caused him to spiral and isolate. Anything out of the house was done with his head down and as quickly as possible to return to the comfort of home. It is always safer at home. Of course, unless he starts to panic about cameras and mics and cars outside.
- There are two tail options, either one working interchangeably. He can also just have his unicorn tail with nothing on him.
- The shirt-seeming collar around his neck can be also a scarf or necklace of sorts. As long as he has something around his neck, it works!
- Reid can also be drawn with a cane!! I will design one hehe. He gets a lot of pain in his hips and knees, so the cane can help him.
- He cries a lot. You can draw him crying.
- Reid often plays with his earrings/neckwear when anxious and out of the house.
- He will not make eye contact to save his life, don't even try.
- Reid often picks at his lower legs as a way to self soothe, chipping away bits of rock with his fingers.
- Reid's design is obviously based around Ryland Grace, Rocky, and some portions of PHM. Despite that, he has been changed a lot personality wise, focusing more on being a coward than the events of the movie.
- I have a VERY bad habit of plucking my leg hair out with tweezers on the bottom portion of my legs when I am stressed as a way to distract or soothe myself, so Reid having totally bare lower legs is something that immediately connected me to him.
- I just really like horses so badly so I really like him.
I woke up soaked in sweat and daylight / It's almost one / The whole morning's gone to waste / I had so many things I wanted to get done / To make it worse / Fell asleep in my jacket over hoodie over shirt
He said, "I don't believe that anyone could save me now" / I said, "Don't be so sure." / He said, "I don't know if I've got a place in the world, Not anymore." / And I tried to prove him wrong, but it wasn't too long / Before he told me to waste my time on something else / And he started to cry as he asked his God why / He's been stuck in his personal hell
