Background/Story

Jupiter is long thought to be an uninhabitable gas giant in the Milky Way Galaxy. However, that isn't the exact truth. Although Jupiter's surface is that of a great gas thunderhead, swirling with UV radiation and ammonium, with frequent bouts of lightning, whose storms rain diamonds; Jupiter houses great life within it's rocky inner shell, surrounding the core, it is about the size of Earth.

Civilization within Jupiter is fairly advanced, their culture and beliefs varying from sectors and provinces, but ultimately remaining similar. Cities were molded out of rock and ore, glittering beautifully in the underground, dimly lit by pockets of lava. Their structures of crystal, gold, copper, and diorite, and well as even geodes decorating the walls and towers of the greatest cities. Jupiter suffered no lack of luster within. It's people are often rightly proud of their craftsmanship. With no light from the sun reaching beneath the surface, the people (called Juldærans) were used to seeing with little to no light, and their eyes are very sensitive to it. If in direct sunlight, they would be totally blinded by the brightness. Their food source comes from the surprising abundance of fungi and root vegetables that grow in patches of moist clay and soil scattered throughout the underground. As well as the animal life that feeds on it. Bigger cities have large farms of both these resources. The Juldærans don't require much water, and get most of the nutrients they need from their food. They can also withstand temperatures as high as 270°F, six times past the boiling point of water, as they thrive in a very hot environment, due to an active core that sits at an average temperature of around 43,000°F and heats the rock around it. The cities closest to the core stand at a temperature of 267°F. Keeping it's inhabitants devoid
of the cold exterior surface of the planet, which in a polar opposite, plunges at an average temperature of -234°F.

In Jupiter's capital, the Jæstar Province, directly below the The Great Red Storm, the richest city in the planet thrives at an elevation of 11,000 meters below the surface. Within recent years, a bit of social and political upheaval has turned it's Monarch on her head. Little has been done about the feud between Jæstar and it's neighboring province, Mihstrom. However, a researcher and renowned explorer named Nadïr Alma'tïj, was growing tired of Jæstar's weak Monarch. The uneasy atmosphere between Mihstrom and Jæstar was stifling his ability to travel, as prejudice festered between them. The crossroads and cavern-ways became unsafe for travelers of either province. He longed to get out of Jæstar, but as time went on it became more and more dangerous. The political distress didn't dwindle, but seemed to spread like a fire, consuming it's people in rage and desperation for years to come. Nadïr lost his wife and young child in one of many raids on Jæstar, right before the destruction of Mihstrom's outer cities, scaring their Democracy into signing a peace treaty with Jæstar. But Nadïr couldn't be happy with the silence. He still wanted to leave, now more than ever. But his wish came true in an unexpected way.

He came across a medallion on the road, and soon ended up on Mars. Far, far, far away from home. He quickly figured out where he was by the placements of the stars and moons. Despite having lived underground, Juldærans had an adequate knowledge of their neighboring planets and star systems. But Nadïr more than most. He took this opportunity to pursue research on the planet that had never been recorded by his race before. He has no intention of going back anytime soon.
