ABOUT

Kashira Enaga is a very extroverted and flamboyant young black-throated bushtit, attending St. Pigeonation's in the MIRROR timeline. Despite his rough and powerful appearance, he is very friendly and avoids conflict as much as possible. With a social exterior like that, you'd assume he has many friends and is always surrounded by action-- But in reality, Kashira is very much lonely, and besides school, spends his time finding enjoyment by himself, as well as with his brother Wanara Enaga. It may not seem like a surprise in the slightest, but Kashira really enjoys bodybuilding, and spending time at the gym is a very frequent activity for him.

He has a tendency to ramble on and on about anything and everything, usually straying off topic, and then feeling guilty for oversharing about his life with someone he met 3 minutes ago. Unlike Enaga, Kashira doesn't dissociate... as frequently, it usually lasts for a bit longer, but only happens out of nowhere once in a month. Overall a very honest guy.

Unlike his canon self, Kashira is okay with being referred to by his first name. This way, they're also easier to distinguish.

Kashira and Enaga's childhood was the same up until the age of 8; He was born with a strange illness that would cause him frequent dissociative episodes and memory blanks. He moved with his family to a new region, and spent most of his childhood being raised by his older brother Wanara, due to their parents working overtime. His parents desperately searched for a diagnosis and cure for his illness, and therefore their case became a popular gossip amongst the medical community. In this time, the Hawk Party did not become interested in his case, and Kashira continued to live more-or-less peacefully with his loving household.

Some time sooner, a doctor indeed became interested in Kashira's case. Due to how surrealistucally severe it was, he became diagnosed with a (*fictional) neurological disorder, characterized by short term memory, and dissociation caused by lack of stimulation. He was suspected to actually have Dissociative Personality Disorder, but the fact that he was born with it, and didn't develop it from a traumatic experience is what debunked the theory. Furthermore, in his dissociative state, Kashira appears to be very quiet and lightheaded, not willing to answer questions, and behaves more like someone in a sleep-walking state. He'd repeat simple wishes and questions, but the answer never actually reaches him. A very alien, and very contrasting-to-his-default-state personality. Kashira himself claims that it's not a split personality, as it doesn't have any opinions, likes, and dislikes, or a name. He himself describes it as an autopilot mode, or something very similar to the 'high' after anesthesia.

At the age of 10, Kashira underwent brain surgery (and therapy) to correct his apparently misshapen insides. Everything went by perfectly. The only aftermath of that is that he will need to take very specific medication all his life to keep his attacks as rare and minor as possible. Assigned to his case was doctor Kakezu.

Shaving his head at that age was the most stressful part to the young boy. Despite receiving almost solely sympathy and being praised for his bravery, he thought he looked hideous, and paired with his round and chubby bodytype, kind of hated his appearance. He swore to never cut his hair completely short ever again.

Kashira was picked to join St. Pigeonation's halfly for his slightly-above-average skills in all subjects, but mostly by sheer luck.

Soon after attending the school, Kashira's life became just a little lackluster again, when his brother Wanara 'became' disabled. Though he always was the sunshine among him and his brother, the situation weighed down on Kashira enough that his social life decreased even further. And so, the boy turned to the world of fiction as some way of escaping. Wanara seemed glad that Kashira never began treating him over-the-top differently after the incident, and that also motivated Kashira to not dwell on his apparently peaceful brother too much.

Kashira does have his own issues. Even if he brushes it off as a joke, and generally never becomes depressed over anything, and yes, really, he doesn't fullon hate it, but he always felt simply unsatisfied with his appearance, and instead admired the commercialized standards for beauty. He became inspired by celebrities (such as Rika Kuchinawa, or Tohri Nishikikouji). Besides the new problem arising with his brother, Kashira was unsatisfied with his own body, and developed the new ambition to body-build himself. And like a fairy godmother, a very particular bird decided to help him with it... Doctor Iwamine.

Kashira is not very bright, and he doesn't read suspicious clues clearly. Since Shuu Iwamine is so esteemed and a genius, surely he doesn't have any bad intentions... Kashira thought, and regularly allowed Shuu to inject and feed him a mysterious drug. The effects were not immediate, but when Kashira continued his regularly scheduled workouts and rich-in-everything-diet, over the course of just one year he gained a ridiculous amount of muscle and his hair became more luxuriant than ever! And he got taller, too.

His body became just as he desired. But in exchange for that, the usage of this hormone drug seems to affect his neurological disorder. He often has episodes of dissociation, and thus, afraid of worrying his already stressed brother and family, Kashira is starting to distance himself. He is very shy about his disorder, and would feel pretty distressed if someone he admired had to witness one of his strange dissociative episodes. He doesn't want to be pitied or catch unnecessary attention, he only wants to receive positive attention. He wants to be a cool shounen protagonist, not the sidekick that'll end up being vulnerable and die near the season finale.

Luckily, Kashira is easy to please. He doesn't require much to be happy, and more above all, he wants to impress someone and fall in a pure kind of love. He wants a cute boyfriend that he can carry in his huge arms and who will like the same manga as he does!

Ah, what could this school year have in store for him? Can this buff bushtit find the love of his life, I wonder?

  • Enaga consists of the characters 柄(e) means "sprout, handle, lever", 長(naga) means "long". Kashira consists of the character 頭(kashira) means "peak, capital, head".

"enaga" is the Japanese word for "long-tailed tit". Additionally, "kashira" is an ending particle in a feminine dialect, meaning "~I wonder".

  • Enaga's hair is very full and fluffy. It's almost always tied in a ponytail to (barely) contain it, and usually frames his head and shoulders like a lion's mane.
  • Kashira Enaga's Character Voice is Fuminori Komatsu(小松 史法), particularly the voice of Jean Pierre Polnareff.
  • Ironically to the above fact, Kashira Enaga's reoccuring joke is that he's a big fan of shounen anime, especially ""JJBA"". He often refers to Shuu Iwamine as a "vampire" in reference to the fact that his voice is Koyasu Takehito's, who voices the vampire Dio Brando in JJBA. He seems oblivious to the fact that there's more characters that share voice actors with characters from JJBA. And weirdly enough, he doesn't see Shuu as a villain.
  • Kashira is massively gluttonous and can enjoy nearly anything as long as it's labeled 'edible'. His favorite food has got to be anything with corn, though.

Shuu Iwamine

[ relatively neutral ]

Due to never being held captive by the Hawks, Kashira has no way of knowing about Shuu's origins, and only sees him as a 'spooky doctor dude', like most of the student body. Shuu treats him with the same respect as any other student, (aka not much). After starting the "experiment" on Kashira's body, Shuu is obviously more observant and interested in him to note down the results. Kashira doesn't perceive him as anyone dangerous. He is simply thankful for receiving the blessing of huge pecs, and really wants to give Iwamine a hug as a thanks. He has not succeeded in that yet.

PAN_ICON.png

Pan Niwashi

[ friendly ]

Pan and Kashira are on very friendly terms, as he's been a part of the cafeteria staff every year ever since he enrolled. Pan is thankful for his gentlemanly personality, and also acts like an illegitimate grandma towards him., which Kashira doesn't mind. They also bond over a love for food, of course, Kashira gladly accepts Pan's offers of treats. Very sweet and wholesome.

Wanara Enaga

[ brother/close ]

Kashira and Wanara have a very tight-knit brotherly friendship. They've always been close, afterall, Wanara practically raised him for a few years. Kashira respects him a lot, but not in a very formal way either. They spend a lot of time together, and know each others' deepest secrets. However, Kashira is also a bit bittersweet about Wanara's shyness, and how he's become bound to stay within the house. Kashira is too airheaded to notice Wanara's suspiciously depressive behavior, but they do manage to remain on the same level and keep up without any difficulties... At least that's how he sees it.

Monomane Kakezu

[ friendly ]

Kakezu has known Kashira since the bushtit was a chick, and has remained in pretty good contact with him afterwards. He's very glad to see how the young one has grown up and flourishes, (thanks to Kakezu's help). They like each other a lot, and Kakezu tends to have a bias for him in class.

Sakuya Le Bel Shirogane

[ friendly ]

Aside from Kashira being a lot friendlier than Enaga, his friendship is still similar with Sakuya. Kashira's ninja aesthetic is even stronger than with Enaga, in some ways, which makes Sakuya moreso curious.
