Shadowdragons are the name of the form that Shadowings are able to take under specific circumstances. They are more intelligent and have stronger elemental and physical abilities than their Shadowing counterparts, but, in most circumstances, are only able to maintain their dragon form for a limited amount of time.
Shadowings are able to become Shadowdragons for short periods of time when under intense pressure or stress, but they are almost completely drained of strength once they revert back to normal. Any Shadowing can transform in this manner, although it’s fairly rare.
Florence cannot control when he becomes a shadowdragon. He is only able to become one in very dire situations when either his or Cherry's life is in danger. He usually uses this form to escape any danger they might be in, or to get rid of what is causing that situation in the first place.
