The only thing Indium loves more than plants is his wife. And his kids. And his farmhands/pets Sage and Beckham. But he really REALLY loves plants so imagine how much he must love these things as well.
Indium is a kind man with a passive nature. He has a hard time with sarcasm and humor, but his wife is kind enough to explain things to him whenever he needs it. He's always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that needs it.
Indium was once told his personality was comparable to dry toast or the color beige. At first glance, Indium can seem very dull and awkward. Indium can't hold a conversation very well with any stranger or acquaintance. Unless its horticulture, others' hobby is his obsession.
On a deeper level, Indium is very passionate and kind. He just deals with some social anixety over his awkwardness and inability to understand different social rules/concepts. He shows that he cares about others in his own unique way, and does his best to learn about others, even if they don't share his interests.

- Used to own a small plant shop after graduating from college. He sold it once he and Eliana bought their farm.
- Used to own a green betta fish named Basil. He lived in an old television that he renovated into a fish tank.
- He met Eliana when she knocked over one of his potted plants at his store. Their ship name is Indiana so as a little easter egg their last name is Jones.
- Indium does not understand some social rules/cues, like puns and sarcasm, he frequently walks himself through concepts by talking out loud to himself.
- He has 2 children who are nonbinary or agender so Indium frequently refers to his children as eggs, buckaroos, sunshine, offspring, squirt, or even the occaisional "squad" instead of using the terms son/daughter.
Indium was a bright child and was able to graduate from high school at the age of 16. His parents were wealthy but too busy for him so he went to boarding schools and prep academies for most of his childhood. He went into college immediately and graduated with a BS in horticulture at the age of 20. Going to college so young was hard for Indium. He's a little awkward and doesn't understand humor or sarcasm all that well, so he really struggled connecting with students who were significantly older than him. His parents paid for his college and opted for him to live in an apartment by himself, so he missed out on a lot of college life. Instead, he found comfort in plants and kept them all over the place in his apartment. Eventually he would buy a betta fish he named Basil, but he passed shortly after Indium graduated from college.
While working at a nursery, Indium ran into a beautiful bean named Eliana. She didn't seem to mind his inablility to understand humor or saracasm, she found his awkwardness kinda cute. Indium then fell head over heels in love with her and spent a lot of time trying to "woo" her. Eventually she gave in (he WAS adorably awkward after all) and they moved out onto a farm where Indium began to grow interest in agriculture and Eliana tended to a variety of animals on their farm. Now Indium raises lots of crops and orchards, and also runs a nursery in his free time. Eliana now not only cares for the animals on their farm. They have three kids that are all adults living their own lives and they root for their kids from afar.
