Rutile

A researcher and botanist serving as a barely respected member of the Nyktome Military Regiment. She is also a sun elf, though her lineage and history are.. dodgy. She's evidently older than the current head of the Grayfaere bloodline, yet she hardly acts like it.

Rutile lives in the moment, she's hands-on, expressive, and not at all what the aristocracy think of when you hear 'an elusive sun elf researcher'.

She's not very handy with magic, nor a weapon. She can barely cast a few light spells to protect herself, again, she's far too in the moment to bother honing her magecraft, when it's already so known, and she could discover the world instead.

Due to this, she ends up being assigned a personal bodyguard, a earth elf who likely has a better head on her shoulders than Rutile could ever hope to have.

Despite Rutile's.. unconventional personality and methods, her results and findings are indisputable, and beyond valuable. She's often hired for rather grandiose expeditions and study.
