In an alternate universe much like ours but they are dependent on magic energy. The monarchy of Amaryllis Kingdom is kind to it's people and known as to be strong by other kingdoms. Not much happens in this kingdom except recently there has been a war waged on them for seemingly no apparent reason. With with the monarchy and its military distracted by the war the corrupt police force steal from the people

A small rebelian group of 16 individuals has begun to rise up. Each member has a specific skill relating to their position in the group. And each position is symbolized by a chess piece.

Finnian is one of two knights in the group.
