Other: Aceline was born into a high-class family, and they of course wanted her to be a proper lady. When she was a filly, she started out doing alright. She certainly didn't excel, but little kids often aren't the most proper. However as she got older she started to really hate her various classes, which all seemed pointless to her. Ballroom dancing? Who does that anymore? Learning which fork to use for each different kind of food? A fork is a fork and using only one would work just fine!
Eventually she got so tired of it all that she just stopped. She stopped trying to be the perfect little lady and started acting more like what she felt was "herself". She became much more comfortable, though her parents now constantly gripe at her. She often dyes streaks of her blonde hair, and she had even gotten red tattoos because she didn't like her plain markings.
Aceline's little brother, Kingsley, is very prim and proper, and Ace worries that he's not able to be himself because of his family, just like she had felt. She often urges him to rebel and be himself, but he always denies and says he's fine. She adores her little brother, even if he's a stick in the mud, and loves to play card games with him whenever she can get him away from one of his classes. She also will agree to fence with him pretty much whenever he asks because it's actually pretty fun, and his expression of happiness when he wins makes all the jabs worthwhile.

About: Aceline's family had always planned to take her out on her 16th birthday to help her find her star seed. Until then she would be starless so she could concentrate on her classes. When Aceline started to rebel, however, those plans changed. When she was 14, she started to sneak out of the house at night, wanting to find her star.
The night before her 15th birthday, she finally found Spade. She was so happy, and she decided to consider it a sort of early birthday present. Spade is her precious friend, and the best gift she's ever gotten.
Spade will often times have spatters of color stained on them from helping Aceline dye her hair. He's always supportive of her choices, and sometimes will even give her ideas.
