There's a mistake in everyone, but that's okay! They're perfect mistakes!

Personality

Known as one of the most optimistic mothkittens in existence, whenever Kendall appears, it puts a big smile on others' faces. They are always radiating positive energy and happiness, making them a delight to be around. Kendall has a dislike for negativity, so they never really practice it themselves. Even if they're upset or down, they don't like to show these feelings, as they fear they may never come back to happiness if they do.

Kendall never seems to be afraid of anything, but this is not true. They often feel lonely if they go too long without a family, and they fear this loneliness. But they never let it show, instead finding their way around the issue for themselves. Kendall, therefore, is wonderful at problem-solving, and they are a lot more mature than the average mothkitten.

Story

There was no sign of their parents. At least, none that the mothkitten could see when they had hatched from their cocoon. They were alone, in a wide-open field. They didn't assume there was anything wrong with that, though; maybe it was normal for parents to not stay for their mothkittens. It didn't seem to bother them as they stepped out of their cocoon, shook off their fur, and left the field.

They traveled for a long time, nameless and alone, but unafraid of their predicament. Their steps never wavered as they hobbled through forests and fields, along beaches, into villages, and up mountains. They could hear the whispers of some mothcats and other creatures about their lack of supervision. They paid no mind to this. After all, all they were trying to do was find their place in the world. And whether that meant finding their parents or not matter not to them.

For a while, it felt like the mothkitten's life wouldn't get to that point. They only kept walking and surviving, never really finding their place. They finally stopped in a small village after realizing they had no clue what they were doing. What were they supposed to be doing? While they were contemplating this, one of the fellow villagers had taken notice of them. From the outside, they looked like a lost and helpless mothkitten. The villager knew there was an orphanage just past the village up a hill, and so they had offered to take the young mothkitten there. Confused yet curious, the mothkitten agreed.

The orphanage wasn't very big, though it wasn't small either. The villager had left before anyone could come out and greet them, saying nothing. The mothkitten, unwilling to wait any longer on finding out about their life, walked into the orphanage. They could hear the squeals and laughter of other mothkittens--something they had never heard before--and scolding from older mothcats. Before they could go any further into the building, they were stopped by an adult. One that was far bigger than the villager, but she carried the friendliest auras that the mothkitten had ever come across.

The large mothcat introduced herself as Mother Orca, the owner of the orphanage. She mentioned that she had been warned of a mothkitten coming her way before asking them what their name was. The mothkitten was confused. Name? They never had a name. They never needed one. So being asked what theirs was... it was a foreign concept to them. Mother Orca could see the confusion on the mothkitten and come to the conclusion that they didn't have a name. She told them not to worry and that they'd give the mothkitten a name before leading them further into the orphanage with their large, welcoming wing.

The mothkitten, who Mother Orca decided to name Kendall--Ken for short--stayed in the orphanage for a long while. They enjoyed their stay there; there were so many mothkittens they could become friends with, they had a mother, and they were happy. It was probably one of the first times that they had a genuine smile on their face. Kendall never wanted to let that feeling go. But as their stay stretched on longer and longer, they began to miss the thrill of traveling. They were uncomfortable staying in one place for so long. It was unnatural for them.

Kendall didn't need to express this to Mother Orca. Mother Orca could see on their face that they were becoming unhappy again. She told Kendall it was okay to not stay, though she did worry about their safety. They promised her they would be fine; they had traveled for long periods before they ever came across Mother Orca, and they didn't fear to do it again. Mother Orca had to convince herself that would be enough. But she didn't let Kendall leave without a parting gift. She gave them a big bow to wear around their neck, to remind them that they always had a home back at the orphanage. It was the first gift Kendall had ever received, and they were grateful. They would never take it off.

And so Kendall took off, back on their adventures. But they were clearly happier. Everywhere they went, they smiled, the corners of their lips stretching up to their eyes when they did. They weren't afraid to talk to strangers anymore, and anywhere they went they made new friends of all kinds: adults, mothkittens, teenagers, and even other species. And they didn't only make friends--they found a new family, too. Everywhere they went, there were families of mothcats that would offer to take them in. Kendall would be glad to stay with them for a short period of time before moving on, but they would always say the same thing: "you are welcome back here".

Kendall can still be found wandering around Falena. They still have yet to grow out of any of their mothkitten fur, but they didn't mind. They were finally happy, being able to travel freely but having friends and family all around them. There will be a time where Kendall will return to some of their families, but they will always return to their travels. Don't be afraid to approach them, as they love to make new friends!

Mother Orca - Family

200x200

The first mothcat to ever consider Kendall family. Kendall is forever grateful to Mother Orca, who was the one that gave them their name and a purpose to their life. They love Mother Orca as if she were her real mom, and to Kendall, she is.

Sometimes, Kendall misses Mother Orca. There are times where they yearn to return to the orphanage and to Mother Orca, but they also aren't ready to return, as they only want to keep traveling. But Mother Orca is always in their heart and mind. Whenever they feel at their smallest, they hug their bow--a gift from Mother Orca--and remember they had a purpose, given to them by their mother.
