Laurel is a witch, originally from Ynis Coeden. A renowned researcher in The Great Golden Tree Academy, he specializes in phytotherapy — the act of healing through plants. Solitary, arrogant and witty, he carries great successes on his shoulders. Due to his presumptuous personality, not many people get along with him. Actually, Laurel was born with powers, something very uncommon in Aigean. A light touch against another person's skin makes Laurel a witness to how and when that person will die. He is often used in the Academia as an oracle too. But the dark and disturbing visions of his patients have been harsh enough to create in Laurel an aversion to touch, causing him to avoid physical contact with any living being as much as possible. He delved into healing magic from childhood in an attempt to help this people, hoping to prevent— or at least try to avoid— the imminent death of the suffering individuals who come to him.
