Sarah Forrest

Sarah Forrest is a young woman who was born and raised in BBQ, eventually moving to the Springdale area to study abroad with two of her college classmates. She now works at a publishing company as an illustrator along with Rosette, her best friend, who works as an editor. She has big dreams of publishing her own book one day, but has difficulty coming up with what to write.

She is very passionate, empathetic, and a child at heart. She’s one who is easily swayed by her emotions and instincts. Sarah is motivated by a strong desire to help those in need, baking food for others, and can’t stand any form of injustice. However she’s known for being very stubborn and temperamental, easily leading her into trouble when she can’t hold her tongue.

Sarah always has snacks on her and is almost always up for going out to eat. Savory, Meaty foods and sweets are her favorites. Especially Sushi and Udon Noodles. She’s never stingy with sharing her goodies, human and Yokai alike. Though she’ll be pretty upset if you try to take what she has without permission.

With her yokai friends, and Casanono’s help, Sarah opens up a help center blog on KaiNet. She hopes to help befriend, help, and learn about as many Yokai as possible. Meeting Casanono opened a whole new world of possibilities and inspiration for her and she wants to make the best of it.

Yokai Relationships

Casanono

Casanono was the one who gifted her with the Yokai Watch.
The lonely Yokai studied to become a Yokai Butler and bought the watch in the hopes it would help him overcome his inspiriting drawback and make a friend. He had no luck for the longest time, until he ended up inspiriting Sarah while she was being harassed by a creep. Causing him to leave her alone.
He managed to work up the nerve to reveal himself and ask Sarah to be her Yokai Butler. Which she happily accepted (after the initial shock of seeing a Yokai so suddenly)

Sarah seems to be immune to Casanono’s unpopularity (in addition to Dimmy, Blandon, and Nul’s inspirits). Perhaps due to her compassionate disposition, or her child-like wonder, no one is really sure.
She absolutely adores Casanono, and is very protective of him. Sarah often refers to him as her “Casabro” and as close a friend to her as Rosette is.  Casanono just doesn’t know how to handle all the praise and affection.
She is on a mission to help him find more friends and possibly a significant other.

Aurornyan

Aurornyan is a Yokai born from Sarah’s Childhood cat, Odette. Apparently shortly after dying of old age, she became a yokai and went on a search to reunite with her master.
Once reunited, however, it’s revealed that she doesn’t seem to realize that she IS in fact a Yokai. Sarah enlists the help of cat Yokai like Jibanyan and Sailornyan to try and help “Odette” learn the ropes of her new form. Hopefully she’ll mature with time.
The Cat-Yokai is quite oblivious, ditsy, curious, and affectionate. She loves Sarah with all her heart and will fight fiercely to protect her. She prefers lounging in Sarah’s lap whenever she can.

Benkei

Sarah Forrest has a huge crush on the Yokai, Benkei, which formed after he saved her life during a battle with a terribly strong Yokai. She think he's the coolest, most noble Yokai ever and loves to make food for him to try and show her affections (because otherwise she's an awkward blushy mess).
While Benkei is a Yokai (who had given Sarah his medal) follows her as her retainer (something that seems to be a habit of his as a Yokai). Indeed he is a noble and stoic, he can be quite oblivious to a few things of the modern era. (For example, why no one else is carrying swords so he can defeat them) As well as how intimidating he may come across.
It goes without stating that Benkei, both from his original life as a human and a yokai now, isn't exactly used to having a woman fawn over him and isn't exactly sure how to handle the situation.

Both are trying to figure it all out.

Noko (Karma)

The one odd Noko who managed to follow Sarah home one day after an adventure. Leading her to straight up adopt him and give him the nickname "Karma"

He is very playful and loves riding on the roomba. While appearing very simple at first, he's actually a lot smarter than he lets on.
