Ethan is born with a serious problem. He has immunodeficiency. During all his childhood he had to stay covered, in a full body suit and a mask. His condition was too much for his parents and they eventually divorced.. He was always a silent child. This doesn’t mean he was timid or else. No, he was just silent. He made no noise and would often scare people or even animals because they didn’t hear him coming. He didn’t think much of it at first neither did he care about the fact he could focus on conversation far from him. His mother was struggling to raise him alone and tried to find someone to replace his father. Alas the man she fell for loved to drink and revealed he was a violent type. One evening he got so drunk he forgot his stepson was not yet in his bed and assaulted his mother. Panicked, Ethan crawled in a corner screaming. He couldn’t take his eyes away from the scene of his step-dad beating his mom and insulting her. The voice of the man suddenly stopped. He was still trying to scream but no sound came out of his mouth. Nobody understood what was going on. The man began to freak out a backed away, holding his throat still trying to speak. Ethan didn’t look away for him, terrified. The classical event in such situation eventually happened. The step-father backed away; too focus on his voice to notice the window behind him. His voice came back when his fall broke the stare of his son. The police classified it as an accident. All neighbours knew he was violent and testified to protect the mother and son. Ethan began to work on his power some months after, learned how it worked, how to control it. He is still working on it. He lives with his mother still to this day and helps her as much as he can. He doesn’t need a full body suit anymore but has to wear a mask and gloves and he always has disinfecting gel with him…. He found a place as a tattoo artist specialised in comics. By dint of drawing superheroes and villains he began to think of using his power for good. In spite of his disease, he always loved sports and often did parkour after work. His free running skills combined with his power proved useful in solving small crimes at the beginning, then bigger ones as he increased his powers. When he is “in civilian clothes” he is a very talkative and cheerful guy. The last thing he wants is to let his sickness break him.
