Runan

Aehari born with horns resembling that of a Vahrians' are afflicted with an uncurable curse. Powerful dark magic comes to these ill-fated individuals as easily as breathing, and they hear the voice of the Dragon of Ruin in their dreams until they can no longer drown it out even in their waking hours. There has never been a single case that hasn't ended in uncontrollable madness, and so for centuries it has been mandated that any child affected is to be surrendered by the parents immediatley under penalty of death.

Runan was abanoned on the doorstep of the man who had slain his predecessor only weeks prior, and left with no name or indication of who his family might have been.

He was taught from a young age of what he was — a demi-god and potential host for Baeyr to use in order to physically exist on their realm once again, and that his life was destined to end in tragedy. He was taught to read and write, and how to supress his own magical abilities, but seldomly was allowed contact with anyone outside of his guards and tutors. As a result, Runan developed a perchant for mischief and disobedience, often acting out whenever possible and driving many who have been tasked with looking after him to resign.

Runan has a great love for the many gifts and offerings sent to him out of fear or admiration, and is fascinated by the world which he is forbidden from ever seeing for himself.
