He spent his childhood in an orphanage that wasn’t in a very safe place. It caught on fire twice and he had no plans on dying this way. So instead he volunteered to become a test subject when he was a teen. Since it was his own decision and he didn’t have a family no one really objected. He became a part of the WAV experiment and that’s when he got the name he’s using right now. The experiment was a process of upgrading a human (S-WAV) and a lab manufactured creature (L-WAV) and making them fight and compete to see which one is more viable. S was perfect for this, he was young, short, and weak, so the progress he made as they were upgrading him really showed what the upgrades can do to someone seemingly unthreatening and vulnerable. When the experiment was over, L-WAV and S-WAV were both trained soldiers and ended up serving as a special team for the lab.

The lab wanted to test if it will be more efficient to upgrade humans with tech to make them badass or create weird creatures from scratch. The Lab made them fight to test who's better, but when the experiment ended they both were well trained so the Lab just decided to keep them both as special soldiers.

Evadit used a pickup line on him and he was too much of a pushover to reject her. They dated for a pretty long while but Evadit was a bandit and eventually she did some illegal shit that made her move out from this planet and become a monster hunter. There's a chance that they still talk but they can't see each other anymore because of obvious reasons
