About

Lucy is generally about as friendly a vampire as you could hope to encounter. They're always eager to help, especially when it comes to mortals and the less lucky residents of LA; there's always been a bit of revolution in their blood, even if they weren't turned Brujah, the desire to stick up for the little people. They avoid killing as much as they can, though they're perhaps a bit less careful when it comes to other Kindred -- they're far more dangerous. And then there's the noticeable fact that there's...something not quite right about them; then, that's what you'd expect from a Malkavian.

They have a way of talking in riddles, though it's not purposeful, and a way of only calling someone by their proper name when it'll fuck with them more than whatever they can think up, which is. Like most Malkavians, they have to deal with their own voices, but at least that's helped them learn how to better handle the Beast. Most often they know exactly what's going on, even if they don't let on. Though they do sometimes struggle with finding the distinction between what's real and what isn't, and though they're often frustrated by peoples' inability to comprehend what they're saying even if it's perfectly clear to them, it's best not to let them fool you; they know exactly what the stereotypes of their clan are, and they have a particular fondness for manipulating people using them.

They don't mind most of the quirks that come with being a Malkavian -- though that might be because they can't really conceive of anything else -- but if there's one thing they don't like about vampires, it's their general relationships with each other. They are very much not happy with the Kindred tendency towards betrayal, though admittedly they're not particularly fond of the Ventrue or the Tzimisce after the circumstances of their only encounters with them. But since they're aware that's the general way of things, they are predisposed to think the worst of any Kindred they don't know. As a result, they're much more trusting of mortals and newly-turned vampires, but once they have grown close enough to any particular vampire they're loyal almost to a fault.

The fact that they don't want to kill people is not to imply they won't, or that they're not good at it. For all their typical disarming friendliness and kindness, they're still a vampire -- the same vampire who was surviving suicide missions from the moment they were turned, who killed LaCroix and Ming-Xiao in one night. They're both resourceful and dangerous and very capable of defending the home they've found for themselves; they haven't survived this long without a good sense of both instinct and intuition. They might not care whether people are polite to them or not, or if they acknowledge their place in LA, but that's entirely on their own design. They've built a career out of being underestimated.

Lucy is fond of plants, taking very abstract photos of LA and the vampire world thereof using their old Polaroid camera, and people watching at bars. They are very uneasy about the entire idea of having human ghouls, thanks to their experience with Heather; they do have a cat ghoul they kept from dying after they found it run over by a car. Their haven is an apartment in downtown LA that is thoroughly covered with fairy lights, stolen plants of every variety, and all the pictures they've taken.

History

Lucy is a long-time resident of Los Angeles and one who was very rarely on the right side of the law. Before they were Embraced, their mid-teen years into their twenties had them mingling with the nightlife of LA -- the drugs and other vices, the less fortunate alongside the rich and famous, and, naturally, the vampires. A concerted effort on the part of their family and friends brought them back out, only for their sire, who they'd been close to over that time, to turn them illegally at the first opportunity. Unfortunately for both her and Lucy, it didn't go unpunished, and only Nines' intervention saved the latter from dying just as their unlife began.

Nines' concern ended up being the turning point on the conflict over the Sarcophagus, as it drew Lucy immediately to the Anarchs, where they pledged their loyalty, delivering the control of Los Angeles directly into their hands and removing the Sabbat, the Kuei-jin, the Camarilla, and LaCroix in the process. After the fires died down, they became one of the highest ranking members of the LA Anarchs, despite the general disdain they'd cultivated for the politics of their new world.

"and remember what i told you about lacroix. you're good, kid. he doesn't deserve you."
