Profile
The Guardian
Fiore is a former warrior who, when her kingdom crumbled and she was near death, was blessed by the spirits who appointed her the guardian of pools of sacred water in a remote glade. She is loyal to the spirits who saved her above all else. Though it took her some time, she adjusted to the life she has been given and has found peace among the nature of her glade. The waters are used by rituals by those the spirits trust, though there are also those who believe the springs to be the Fountains of Youth and seek to steal or destroy the pools. Fiore's task is to guard against those will ill will, granting the waters only to those clerics who should be entrusted with it.

Personality
In Fiore's youth, she was warlike and fiercely determined to fight. Her life was dominated by a need to succeed, to protect her people, to by loyal to her kingdom above all else. Adjusting to the life that the spirits gave her was a difficult transition. It is simply not something that comes naturally to her. She is someone that needs a higher purpose and struggles when she is shaken from this purpose. Without her kingdom to fight for, she took a while to be truly satisfied with her life. Instead of having excitement and drive, she had nothing for a long time. She only truly was able to settle into her life when she found the peace and beauty in the life she was given. Though it took years, she was able to shift her purpose towards that of protecting the land that she had been granted for the good of the spirits who had saved her. Loyalty towards the sprits became a driving factor in her life and something she valued above most all else. Fiore is a private individual. This has been something that has been true for her all of her life, and something she actually found enjoyable when she was made a guardian. She struggles when around others too often or when she is forced to share too much. While she is a natural leader, this is not a purposeful thing nor something she particularly enjoys or values in herself. She would rather train on her own than with others. Though she is loyal, she prefers to stand alone. This has been valuable in her life as a guardian. Most of the time she is alone, far from the company of others. She is visited, but only rarely. This is something that works well for her. When she without others she is able to be in peace with herself and with nature, without the pressure of others.
Fiore is constantly vigilant. If she falters, one may steal the waters the spirits have blessed, and thus harm the spirit's sacred gifts. As the spirits saved her, she feels a strong sense of duty to be certain that this never occurs. This is something she values strongly and that she knows she cannot let herself fail. Failure is a terrifying word to her, and ultimately her greatest fear. She holds herself to very high standards and is self-conscious when she falls form them.
Peace was initially a challenge for Fiore, but is now a way of life. She loves to submerge herself in the sacred waters, her silky fur blending in perfectly to the clear waters until she is truly one with the landscape. She spends much of her time lounging, happy with the sounds of the glade and the light dancing through the waters. She is very wise and has much to say, though as there is no one around, she keeps this mostly to herself. She is not particularly sociable though is pleasant with the clerics who visit her waters for ritualistic purpose. To those who attempt to steal the waters, she is unforgiving, and will chase them away with tooth and claw without a second thought.

Summary
Mortal Birth
Fiore's mortal life was a far cry from her spiritual one. Unlike the peace and solitude of her current role in the world, this was not always the case. Before she was blessed, she was born into a very war-like kingdom. As such, fighting for her kingdom was a way of life. She was trained from a young age to protect herself and, when she could take care of herself in battle, to fight for her kingdom. Loyalty was all she really knew, and she was taught never to question the rules she was given. She embraced this way of life, truly knowing nothing else. She became an accomplished fighter, years of training and a natural grace making her an extreme asset to her kingdom in the tides of war. She was a soldier to rival all else and all others. When they took up the fight against other kingdoms, Fiore was not just a soldier but a leader, the kind rallied behind by others, almost worshipped for her skill and devotion.
Fall of her Kingdom
However, the warlike kingdom could never last. It was too small, too fragile; and it crumbled away against the forces of larger and better-funded armies. Soon, the whole kingdom followed the broken armies, and there was nothing left. While other kingdoms took over the land of her home and her people fled, Fiore had no choice to leave. However, due to her loyalties and a large wound from the last battle, she was one of the last to leave, and she could not make it far. Instead of finding peace in a settlement with the others in her kingdom, Fiore fled to the wilderness, knowing that her status as one of the fallen kingdom's most fierce warriors would only bring on animosity towards those around her who were settling in the lands of their former enemies. To protect herself and others, she had to leave. She stumbled towards the forests, gravely injured and lost, but determined to protect those from her kingdom who survived by leaving. The spirits saw her skill and her loyalty to her people and took pity on her.
Blessed by the Gods
Instead of succumbing to the lands, Fiore found herself blessed. She was made a guardian by the spirits in order to save her life and honor her determination to save her people. At first, Fiore struggled to adjust to her new life. Formerly, her life was ruled by training and comradery with her fellow soldiers; but now, she found herself alone, and most days without explicit purpose. She was restless in her guardian position, uncertain where her true loyalties were to lay or how to find peace. Over the years, however, she learned to embrace it. Instead of fighting the silence of her new life, she found the peace in it. She learned to consider more than her personal skills, instead embracing the beauty of the world around her and the importance of her task. She befriended those clerics sought to fetch sacred water from her hidden glade and learned how to protect the waters from thieves. She now finds this life satisfying and is immensely grateful to the spirits who recognized her loyalty and saved her life.
