The Basics

Azolla is a stuffed animal given life by a young witch named Wictoria. She was won in a crane game by Wicky's best friend, William, and the magic of their bond brought Azolla to life. She is therefore, quite fairly, describable as the physical embodiment of Wicky and William's relationship.

Like the pair do for each other, Azolla is a nurturing and balancing presence between them. She is there to counsel Wictoria in William's place when space keeps them apart, and likewise she always reminds William of how much he does care about his bestie.

Azolla has both the mental, physical, and magical strength that she needs to protect the two magic users as well. Her powers come from the strength of the kids' bond with each other, so they can be almost God-like one day and then absolutely nothing if the pair are fighting. So Azolla tries to mentor the two and keep them on good terms with one another: After all, her job is much easier if she has magic... and if they ever cut ties completely, Azolla would lose the magic that keeps her alive. It really is in her best interest to look out for their friendship.
