Backstory: (Sorry its long) WIP WIP WIP WIP

When this young molly was an apprentice, she was a far cry to the warrior she is now. Brash, bold, and most of all: Bossy. She thought of her clan constantly and her mindset was that if she saw the problem, it should be her to solve it. Along with others that was, trying to rope in any apprentice that she could find to help her out. One of the more frequent apprentices that would come along would be Emberpaw, a fiery molly who at the time was Leechpelt’s crush. Together, Leechpelt would try and get hunting parties out with apprentices, along with a reluctant leader, take charge of chores, and be in general bossy. Unfortunately, Leechpelt was not the best with words, coming off as more bossy and dramatic than need be when she only wanted teamwork. This had made her unpopular with the other apprentices at the time, including her siblings, and slowly, Emberpaw. It had gotten to the point, later in her apprenticeship, that the other cats started to ignore her. Leechpelt, oblivious to how her words affected her clanmates, tried harder and harder with them but to no avail. Even Emberpaw was becoming reluctant, but the first time she had refused to follow Leechpelt would be her last.

During an outing by herself, Leechpelt had found heavy scents of foxes, and had faintly spotted the outline of one heading towards one of the apprentice’s favorite training grounds. The wind was not in the other apprentice’s favor, and Leechpelt scrambled over before the fox to warn them. Only Emberpaw was there, but she refused to listen to the other molly’s pleas. She spoke of how tired she was about being pushed around by the other cat, and she wasn’t the only apprentice to think that. Leechpelt pleaded with her, despite how much the words hurt, to get her to go home with her but they were met with deaf ears. The fox caught both cats by surprise, a ravenous creature that has had no food looking for a quick snack. It was unfortunately closer to Emberpaw, and had taken to biting the unprotected molly’s neck leading to an instant death with one snap. Raw emotions overtook Leechpelt’s thoughts and actions, finding that the grief of her crush and the absolute despair of finding out said crush had no trust in her whatsoever led the cat to a erratic monster. She fought the fox with no other support, granting her three scars from the fox’s relentless claws. Eventually, Leechpelt had gotten lucky and managed to slice the fox wide open with a clean cut over the stomach. It was brutal to watch, and Leechpelt would forever be scarred from such an event.

The death of the creature that killed Emberpaw it did nothing to Leechpelt’s grief, as she mourned over the molly she loved and the loss of the ignorant veil that was kept over her. She thought of herself as leader material, one who could protect and work together with her clan to defeat things like this! However, Leechpelt found that was just false, that the other cats hated her. Fears became true as the other apprentices at first didn’t believe that Leechpelt didn’t kill the fox, nor that Emberpaw was dead. It was quickly proven true when the other warriors came back with her at the scene of the crime, horror going over everyone’s faces.

That day, Leechpelt earned her warrior name, yet that day will forever be a looming scar over Leechpelt’s life that has affected not only her ability of team-work, but whole personality as well. Now, Leechpelt is a reserved and quiet warrior, taking orders instead of giving them, and shying away from interacting more with the rest of the clan. She never had the heart to say more than a few sentences, and has even began to ignore her duties as an aunt to her newly apprenticed kin. Slowly, Leechpelt wants to find a way back into her clan’s life, but there are many inner demons she must face before becoming the warrior she was destined to be.

CURRENT STORY: WIP, but basically her whole clan (Except her Nephew, Flypaw) was killed by a flood while she was out and was only able to dig out Flypaw in time to save him)
