Neveia (Nei)

 

Design notes: The images with him having shorter hair, more detailed horns/tail/ears, are his end game age (his slightly older design where he's journeying back in his homelands of Ulaidh) . Where as the images with the sidebang, less intricate wings and tail, are where we first meet him on the journey of his adult stage (his slightly younger design. Where he journeys through Thule) . In both stages (some images need fixing with this) his right eye should not have a white slit. This is because he is blind in this eye. He also has severe burn wounds on the right half of his body, however in most instances that's hidden through magic. 

C R E A T I O N   A N D   P U R P O S E

 

You could say Neveia is like Nei's alter ego. He is the greatest asset and greatest friend to the original. The only trustable person. He is not very much like Nei. Pushing to have a stronger brasher personality. Superior power and destruction are his keys. Driven by wrath and obsession, he manipulates and fights his way to tear down the world before him. 

Neveia is a personality spawned within Nei due to his abused and corrupted body. He's an ego spawned from the mixed ideals of a hero, and a monster. Neveia himself chose the path of a monster, to protect, destroy, and be ferocious. His aim is to create the perfect world. To him, that means destroying, what in his eyes are ,evil. Evil being tuatha and milesians. The goal is to purge the world of this evil, and be the protector of the fomorians. 

To acquire great power, so much to eventually challenge gods, Nei had to sacrifice his humanity. The child within him walked into the depths while a beast spawned out. 

Although they are different from each other, they also recognize themselves as one and the same. Neveia is the drive, desire, and force. While Nei is the reason, emotion, and innocence. 

At the start they were generally very mixed of mind, but eventually as time went on, Neveia took more control of his body. This is, of course, under complete consent of Nei. As Nei couldn't contain his emotional pains through their journey. Neveia took over almost 100% with Nei mostly observing and never leaving from his mind. 

However Nei makes appearances through their body when certain things are triggered through Neveia's senses. They can't control their reasoning in these instances, as Nei lets his emotions take over him for better or often worse. 

 

P E R S O N A L I T Y

 

Neveia has a lot of faces that change for his protection. He can be seemingly charming and caring, or cold and heartless. To many fomori that meet him, he seems powerful, righteous, protecting, and familial. The fomori are treated like family members. He takes the time to understand each species, family, and tribe's cultures. Due to his incubi blood, his looks and attitude seems very charming and easy to follow. He's very persuasive and alluring. However he's terrifying when crossed. Even to fomori he shows little mercy. If they don't prove useful or compliant, he will get aggressive. A unit is what it is, and when a single member of a unit is considered a traitor, their whole unit will be punished. He's quick to physical violence and known to be a cannibal. That fact about him is terrifying and disgusting but many are willing to look past that because it doesn't often apply to fomori and his positive actions for the tribe. He's got a confident leader type personality, and he's willing to talk to even the smallest and lowest of fomori. Though he's known to also be very independent, often going off on his own for hours, days, or even weeks for his own wants. 

He has a way of wording that's very inspirational, and he takes the morals of old traditional fomori, working to unite people together and abolish evil. His respect for nature is very high but his respect for the gods only falls under Cernunnos. He believes, and convinces others, that he was chosen by Cernunnos to lead his people and cleanse the world. Their people has lacked a king and god for centuries, and he is here to become the next great leader to unite them all.

For tuatha and milesians there's little willingness to listen and comply. He hates them both and wants to kill all of them. There's an extreme biased hate for them from his childhood so he never holds any trust or respect for any. With milesians specifically his reason for existence is to defy them. He despises them and was once envious of their powers and blessings. His thoughts of them is something that should have never existed yet his powers is almost a mimic to the endless possibilities of the milesians. There are only extreme circumstances where he's willing to take in or listen to these people.

There are times where he throws caution to the wind, willing to risk his life for a desire. He's almost unpredictable in this way, but he does know his limits. When there's no light that he may win a fight or live, he will escape. Despite his pride, his self preservation is much more in control of him . 

Hes perhaps easily lured into fights. Physical and verbal, he can be pulled around to continue because of his pride and want to be superior.

H U N G E R

 

Most of the time Neveia suffers from an extreme hunger. This is mental and physical. This is due to a flaw in his trade for power. To get power he hungers for it. So his body is constantly needing a fuel to add more fire. The only source of relief to this is through living creatures. The more power and experience the creatures have, the more relief he receives and an increase to his own power. Even with a constant feeding, it's extremely difficult to curb his hunger. Though he is quite good at hiding and ignoring this. The longer he takes to reach a good meal, the faster his mental state deteriorates and he leans to a more instinctual state of mind. However, he's quite used to waiting a few months for a good meal. In a way, he lets go of Nei even further and is consumed by his true nature as a beast.
