Obscurys is very gentle and patient, teaching his students that it's okay to run away from a fight if it means you live to fight another day. When teaching young Shadow creatures how to use their element, he always starts with how to escape by diving into the shadows. He says that learning to run to stay alive is more important than learning to fight. It brings him much joy and pride watching the young Shadow creatures use their element to escape rather than harm. He is a peaceful dragon who hates fighting and only does so in self defense or to defend those who need it the most.
When he is forced to fight, he uses his Shadow breath to block out the vision of his enemies before sneaking up behind them and slashing them with his Shadow powered slash. He also sinks into the shadows below and drags them into it before bursting out in an explosion of Shadow, damaging them from all directions. His fury involves him sinking into the shadows below as shadows grow around him. As the shadows grow, so do shadow tendrils with clawed fingers, ready to grab and hold in place any foe around the nearby area. Then as the shadows close around in one big bubble of Shadow, he bursts from the shadows and blasts the Shadow all around.

-The quills down his back can raise or fall with his emotions, spiking straight out when he's angry and drooping when he feels regret.
-He can see and interpret visions in the pool of visions.
-His design takes inspiration from the beta Malefor found in Dawn of the Dragon.
