ABOUT
Léon Beausoliel is a former child star and current actor and model , well known for his sunny personality. His reputation earned him the nickname “Joie” in his home country of France, after his first job of a similar name.
Invoking cheerfulness, sometimes overbearing, almost all seeing, and usually found at the center of at least one person's attention, it's no wonder Léon and the spotlight were a match made in heaven from the start. Léon is a young man completely at ease with himself. He exudes an easy sort of confidence, somehow managing to be both the vainest and genuinely sweetest person you know. Not to mention dramatic. He isn't the kind to look down on anybody. He has confidence in himself, and he wants the people around him to have confidence too! In the same sense, he'd like to help make the people around him have more fun and live life to the fullest.
His perky sense of charm and well practiced charisma make making friends come to him as easily as breathing — it also doesn't hurt that he will talk to anyone; even innocent, unsuspecting civilians that aren't prepared to handle a stranger motor mouthing at them at the crack of dawn in the gas station. Being this way means he knows just about everyone, and more importantly, he knows just about everyone's business. On the flip side of his friendliness, he is just a really nosy gossip. He can be sly and conniving beneath the radar. On the other flip side of his over-friendliness, he is a hopeless romantic in love and in life. He is incredibly caring, if sometimes meddling, and generous, quick to be a gentleman. He is naive sometimes, putting his trust and affection in people too easily. He has resolved to live a life without regrets or grudges, but he has some petty tendencies and a habit of lying and avoiding.
Like many former child stars, Léon struggles with a deep seated urge to act out and not knowing what he wants to do next. After a short lived, very private phase of wild behavior behind the scenes, he's sworn to be responsible from here on out.
- Léon was born and raised in France like his parents, but his family is Somali, Sundanese, and Nigerian.
- He is trilingual! Fluent in French, English and Igbo.
- His favorite drink is American iced tea and he's a little embarrassed about it. His favorite adult drink is "the fiery one from that one night; you remember, right?"
- He's most known for the show he basically grew up on; a now nostalgic sitcom that lasted from age six into his early teens. He played a boy next door named Joey.
- His favorite color is light yellow. It reminds him of his dog, a cocker spaniel named Rhiannon, because her collar is yellow.
- He wants to visit every country at least once.
- He is notably very kind to paparazzi, but isn't beyond dressing like a Not Suspicious Cartoon Character to dodge them.
- He will pretend not to speak a language when he's fed up with a conversation. Yes even with people that definitely know he knows what they're saying.
- He's a Leo!
LÉON: "Is this a trick question? You have my undivided attention!" (He was thinking about if it'd be appropriate to ask to take home one of the paperweights on the desk.)
LÉON: "Doing my own stunts in the movie! I feel I did very well so I can't wait for this one to come out. In the future.. I want to visit every country once. I've said that already, so my second option would be... I'd really like to direct some day. Just once!"
LÉON: "Would it sound better if I said script reading...? It's my phone really, but, ah, I do try not to stay up late if I can help it!
