($10) Karina

Karina is a young boy who lives in the meadow with his father. They make a living by selling various types of flora that they either grow in their garden or that the meadow produces. They sell their wares to travelers who need a quick pick-me-up for very little, hardly making a profit from their business. Karina's father takes care of the selling, while Karina is the one who searches for their natural wares, often heading into a nearby forest despite the tales of monsters living there. Even though everyone makes the creatures out to be mean and scary, they're actually very friendly towards Karina and his father, and have even protected them from a small group of bandits once! They're really the only friends that Karina has since no one else lives around them, and he enjoys their company as much as he would another human's.

If you were to ask what Karina's favorite thing to do is, he'd respond by making a flower crown and placing it on your head. He loves weaving flowers together, and tries to find the best colors to use! Whenever someone buys something from them, Karina always gifts them with a flower crown and smiles as they walk off with their new headwear in tow. Most of their regulars know not to fight it, but occasionally a newcomer will come along and try to refuse his gift, and will be assaulted with the biggest and teariest eyes they'd ever seen, instant guilt piercing their heart. They end up accepting it shortly afterwards.

Karina also loves to bake, and his dishes seem to have restorative properties that can aid others in a pinch. They usually refill their magic for some reason, but occasionally they'll restore health or give a small buff to their abilities. He usually uses forest ingredients when baking, which may explain their strange effects. After all, it makes sense for the produce in an area with monsters to be magical. Whenever he's not out searching for things to sell or helping his father with the shop, he's probably in the kitchen making a delicious treat for their next few customers.

He's a pretty nice kid and always tries to think of others. He only takes what they need and leaves the rest for anyone else who may want it. He also doesn't really know how to differentiate good people and bad people, and will always just assume someone's nice, even if that may not be the case. He's usually happy in some way, so sour moods are a rarity for him. His father can actually count on two hands how many times Karina hasn't been his usual bubbly self, which is a lot less than most other parents of seven year olds can say. He loves to show things off to others, whether it be his crowns, something he drew, or just a nice rock he found by the forest's creek. He'll often run up to his father and shove whatever he's so proud of in his face and spin a tale on how he got or made it, all while practically jumping in place.
