“This blep has rough, sandpapery scales that contrast with smooth, glassy opals. Parts of the scales have fallen away, revealing shimmering gemstone limbs. The blep polishes its opal scales much in the same way a pearlcatcher polishes its pearl. It has rippling fins, and frequents warm water in tropical areas.”
