Profile

Mehra, despite her softer appearances, is typically cold or emotionless, a bit of a mystery, and very much fitting the spooky quality most expect of Iotas. If she allowed anyone to see past her intimidating behaviour, you might see that she appears to enjoy this portrayal of herself and clan, and the fear she can instinctively invoke in others. She does find it fun, and casually-and randomly-will shut off others powers for her own amusement.

Despite this bit of a mean streak, she does manage to keep a few friends-even outside of Iota. Those are mainly ones who've proved themselves as unafraid of her, and willing to challenge her.

While she appears to have her emotions completely shut off, those that are priveledged enough get to see she does in fact have feelings, but few are lucky enough to earn that trust. Deep, deep, down, Mehra is actually fairly susceptible to romantic gestures, is very sentimental and loyal, and really loves plants and flowers. She does her best to hide these facts, which she does quite well. She often blocks herself just as much as she blocks other floss' powers. Ironically, she's a bit afraid herself; afraid of letting others in, because then they could have control over her for once. She's still very distrusting, but somewhere in that head of hers, she really wants to be able to trust and feel freely. Baby steps.

Mehra is rumoured to either work very closely to, or directly with, Iota's clan leader, but her actual operations are, of course, secretive, and she refuses to comment on her, or the family's doings or business. Though she is often seen at various scenes of interest, possibly as damage control, or just as an observer for the clan. No one's really sure. Occassionally has been acused of conspiring with a certain Theta; no one likes clan prejudices. Why can't they just be friends meeting up?

THE OUTBREAK

Mehra was visiting Larkspur's shop when the incident happened in the Zetan capital. She was tasked with immediately leading an Iotan investigation into the matter the Alpha military was trying to keep under wraps. She and her team got through the borders with relative ease and speed, be it from the weakened forces, or the very official passes she had been granted. The team made their way to the ones in charge, and Mehra was met by more fear than usual, weapons drawn immediately at the sight of her. Unphased, and with much authority, she demanded to know what was going on, explaining her mission was for her leader and she wouldn't leave without answer. After threat of her team shutting off the powers of the forces already there, she was hastily informed there had been some sort of...accident, and whatever happened was causing the effected floss to...change, if not perish immediately after. They explained their fear of her, as these floss became almost purely white, like her, but unlike her, they started growing eyes. Everywhere. Mehra was disappointed to find they had very little information other than the symptoms of infection. They were working on rounding up any floss infected, setting up quarantine camps and trying find a cure, or at least a treatment, maybe even information on what happened. They mentioned the Zetan leader was missing.

She decided her team would stay, not so much to help, but to gather more information as it was discovered, so their leader would be properly informed while most of the world was in the dark. As days passed, the Zetan leader was found-infected-eyes covering his body, and his usual pink fur drained. She of course relayed this her leader, as well as the state of the continent. Iota hadn't had any reports of outbreaks, and she was thankful, though she noticed a strange sense of worry for Lark in Delta to the south. That floss always made her act strange...

But that wasn't the only thing.

On the fifth night, she found herself feeling...cold. Colder than Zeta usually was. She stumbled out of her temporary camp, into the night, trudging through the snow with the foreign feeling of panic in her chest, as her vision faded out with a boiling feeling beneath her flesh.
