He grew up in weird religious group which treated people like shit. Everyone has to do something for the group, and if one is useless one will die. No one cared him. No compliments, no encouragement, no friends. He experienced only competition, jealousy and hate when he was in that group.

He escaped from the group years ago and met Suk and rest of the roomies and even tho he was over 20, everything was new to him. All roommate stuffs and positive relationships are awkward to him so he gets really nervous and shy around them. That's why he acts all grumpy, but he actually deeply cares everyone.

Because he grew up doing all chores by himself, he can't stand roomies being lazy. He nags a lot. Especially to Seogwang.
