Kale, originally born Stefan, was thrust into the limelight almost immediately after learning to walk which, of course, put him behind the curve when dealing with other child actors of similar talent. His mother had always wanted a star and so his formative years were spent with her as his agent pushing him to do anything and everything to climb the ranks of the entertainment society. It was likely this same alpha behavior that had caused his father to walk the first chance he could get after their bouncing baby boy was born.

After a few years in meager roles Kale finally earned his breakout role in a film where he was to play the romantic lead opposite a budding young starlette whose name undoubtedly helped to rocket him to fame. It was after this that things kind of got out of control and his life became a blur of parties, drugs and schmoozing which his ‘affectionate’ mother pushed him to do at every turn. Really she didn’t care if he had the image of a bad boy, daredevil because at least it made headlines and put his name on people’s lips. Because of this he went through a pretty dark period of self neglect and torment but all of that came to an end when he was diagnosed with a disease that would slowly eat away at him until there was nothing left.

All his mother heard was that it was the end of his career, that he would burn out tragically and eventually start getting less and less offers for parts. It was possible that somewhere amidst her shallow emotions that she felt some measure of sorrow or concern even over the death sentence her son had been handed, however she was brilliant at covering it up if it existed at all. And, perhaps it was that realization that led Kale to fire her and attempt to take back his life as well as his health. Still though, there was a nagging fear and desperation in the back of his mind that told him he wasn’t ready to die or fizzle out just yet. Not when he had so much left to give.

Likely those same emotions were what drew the demon to him in the first place. An incorporeal demon who offered him longevity and salvation from the disease attacking his body in exchange for a host body to use for his own purposes from time to time. A wiser man would have refused, would have known not to dance with a devil, but desperation is not known to give rise to wisdom. So, Kale accepted the offer and now shares his body with a demon roommate so that he may continue to live and do what he loves.

Impressions

Throughout his relatively short life Kale has lived many lives as many people but only those who are allowed to get close to him know his true self. After his dark days where he was seen as nothing but a party boy and shameless philanderer he decided to work on crafting a different image for the media. One of a man on the road to redemption who wanted nothing more than to create art for people to enjoy and love. Which, on the surface, is the truth. But that is only what the inside of a glossy gossip rag will tell you.

When Kale doesn’t have to put on a show or maintain an image he can be somewhat of an ass. It isn’t that he’s spoiled or anything but he is outspoken in regards to things he does and doesn’t like. This probably comes from having to hold his tongue for so long when his mother was in charge and made any and all decisions for him. After being told he was going to die he woke up a little and wanted to take the wheel of his own life.

He can be cocky because, let’s face it, he knows he’s hot and doesn’t see a reason to be modest about it. Sometimes this can come across as arrogance which may or may not make him likeable in the eyes of some. It doesn’t help that he can often pair some sarcasm with this that might make him come across as not just a jerk, but an arrogant jerk. In reality he is none of those things and if someone has the patience to get to know him they will see him for who he truly is.

Kale is a passionate man who cares about other people and what they think. He is empathetic and warm with a soft heart that he attempts to keep guarded for a multitude of reasons. There is also a vulnerability or fear about him due to his situation but he really tries to bury that deep because, in his mind, avoidance is better in this case. No one likes having to talk about an illness that will kill them...especially when it is being suppressed by a demon co-inhabiting their body.

Of course, when the demon is behind the wheel Kale’s personality changes entirely because...well...it isn’t Kale anymore.

Relationships

The only relationships he has thus far are with his adoring fans and those he works for/with. Not to mention the demon hitching a ride in his skin.
