Profile

Carnedd is an anxious young shifter who’s all too aware that he’s not where he’s supposed to be. Just trying to do best for his family, he’s found himself stranded far from home.

Hoping to find some good work in the west, Carnedd stowed away on a merchant caravan which he knew would be crossing the mountains. Though he successfully made it to the west, he struggled to secure anything and very quickly became homesick, deciding to return back. Once again stowing away, he unwittingly joined the ill-fated caravan from the inciting incident. Unlike many of his travelling companions, Carn was lucky to survive the attack and was rescued from the rubble by Talderyn. He promptly begged them to take him home, to which they agreed.

Carnedd is extremely nervous with the group, only really trusting Talderyn and sticking to them like glue. Failing that, he tolerates Byncae’s quiet company. He refuses to be left alone with either Felix or Minea, finding their energy much too intense.

He was originally terrified of Cadwgan, but quickly became comfortable with him as his astoundingly lax nature became apparent. He remains terrified of Diot.

Carnedd was born in a small fishing village on the north-eastern coast. His family wasn’t affluent, but they got by. He’s a triplet with two sisters, and the family is very close. Receiving no formal education, he studied under his parents of which he had three - firstly learning basic domestic skills and spending some time studying under local craftsmen, before joining in on fishing excursions. As he grew into young adulthood he never settled in any particular role, flitting between land and sea as required.

His mother spent much of her time at sea on their small fishing boat, while both fathers mostly kept to the land doing odd jobs around the shipyard and domestic duties. Both of his sisters followed their mother’s line of work.

Anxious by nature, Carnedd is very easy to get stressed out. Which he does so often. He’s quiet and soft-spoken - when he does speak, he’s often not heard or spoken over. Despite his struggles, he’s incredibly curious, and will often overcome his fears if there’s something to be learned or discovered. Many an old lady would call him 'polite and well mannered'.

He’s never been hugely popular, but isn’t polarising either - though he has few close friends, there are many that would at least call him an acquaintance.

Carnedd doesn’t own very many clothes, with most of them being well worn hand-me-downs. This doesn’t bother him.

His feral form is typical for a cat, a very common build found amongst those from the north west. He generally prefers his feline form, but freely switches between the two.
