Cecil grew up in an orphanage with the worlds largest chip on his shoulder. He was, as he would word it, tossed into the deepest pit when he was just 6 because he mom decided she didn't want a kid anymore and ran off with some rando guy that gave her attention. So Cecil is a bit put off around woman and felt they were two-headed snakes.

When he was 8 Cecil met who would become his best friend, his brother, Cash, when the kid was brought in at the age of 7. Cash was a weird kid but Cecil soon realized that he was a bit weird too. He would often get in trouble for getting into fights with the older kids when they would try and bully Cash. Then he discovered fire, and boy was that day the earth's butthole clenched.

No one wanted to adopt Cecil and that was fine, he didn't need to be part of the social norm that was a completeley normal and functional family unit. No thanks.

Starting at the age of 10 all the way up to age 15, Cecil started getting in trouble with the law after he started setting things on fire. It began with small things, like the garbage in trash cans but then ramped up to mattresses in alleyways and even a car once. So he ended up getting a bit of a juvie record.

Then, on some fateful day when he turned 16, he decided he was done with the orphanage. They weren't helping him like they were the other children and while he became bitter and petty towards everyone, he kept Cash close. That night he started multiple fires within the building before grabbing his meager belongings and Cash and getting the hell out of there.

The fire burned and while everyone was able to get out, the fire got too out of control to extinguished and so the building was charred and scorched and it was beautiful. It was no longer livable.

After the fire, Cecil had to think quick, because it wasn't just himself he had to watch out for but he had his buddy Cash with him. It didn't take them long to jump ship and leave the town all together and head to the city. There, he found work every now and then, he found he had a knack for cooking and art which he hadn't even known about while he lived at the orphanage.

Then he was given the opprotunity to help a traveling circus. And that, ladies and gentleman, was how Cecil and Cash joined the circus.

Over the years they even did their own stuff, Cecil's affinity with fire got him the position of fire breather. He could manipulate it like no one's business and he also had a knack for juggling funnily enough. So juggling fire? Hell yeah.

Along the way, he met his other half, the snake-y hypnotist, Kit. They weren't an item at first but he was crushing hard. They got to know each other more when Kit's makeup artist quit. And because Cecil had an art hobby under his belt, he stood in until it was decided that Kit wouldn't let anyone elses pain him unless it was Cecil. When Cecil finally got the balls to ask Kit out, he gave him a charm bracelet that he and Cash got from a gumball machine at a pizza parlor in a city they were stopped in.
