is unusual but I dislike how they absolutely nerfed
female horn designs, so I'm diverging from canon. 𖢥
 𖢥 The grey segment on Ruby's horns isn't natural.
She painted it on to express her masculinity. She chose
grey instead of white to avoid being misgendered. 𖢥

Just like any regular imp, Ruby struggled to find a well-paying job.
Grocery stocking here janitor work there. The only jobs that accepted her would
treat her like a number. Disposable. Just as quickly as she would be hired, they would
replace her with some other poor soul willing to accept an even lower salary. One day,
out of sheer spite and sarcasm, she responded to a job offer that was way out of her
league. "What the hell could go wrong?" Well apparently, moth overlord Lumina had a
different idea. Ruby nearly shat herself while opening her mail. She found an invitation 
for a job interview. The day came. She gathered what remained of her courage,
and made it to the location. It seemed legit. A large building with a sign above the
entrance reading: "Lumina's Mythical Critters." Carefully, she entered. Lumina herself
emerged from the corner. "Hey you must be... Ruby right? Nice meeting you. Follow 
me." Despite the suffocating, claustrophobic office room, the lack of knowledge about
animal care on her part, the sheer terror of being face-to-face with an overlord (and a
beautiful one at that) Ruby managed to stay somewhat coherent and reasonable
during the interview. Maybe it was her honesty, maybe how passionate she was
about learning more to qualify, or maybe just plain, dumb luck. Whatever it was,
Ruby was miraculously hired. She now works at Lumina's Mythical Critters, has since
learned a lot about various mythical creatures, and happily infodumps about
them. Furthermore, something seems to be budding between her
and her boss as they grow closer each day... Oops.
