The dumb jock from your tropey high school movie, Kris is loud, exuberant, and confident as all heck. He rolls with the cool kid crowd™ in his local high school, and as a result, has picked up on some of their not too tasteful habits. Among those being: slacking off when actual academics are concerned, getting wrapped up in too many extracurricular actives and house parties - and of course - the dreaded underage drinking. Being a sociable and fun-loving guy, he's very much into the party scene and is almost always up for drinks or the usual tomfoolery by the football field.

Beneath his stereotypical jock demeanor, Kris does have the potential to be a good student. He's easily distracted and doesn't have the best attention span, but he's smarter than a lot of people give him credit for. Kris - unbeknownst to his friends - has a secret interest in the social sciences and humanities. He doesn't quite know what he wants to do in the future, but he knows he wants it to be something in either one of those fields. Unfortunately, he doesn't feel competent enough and keeps those musings to himself. It's easier to be a dumb high school footballer after all. There's a bit of insecurity underneath his practiced bravado and party guy persona, and sometimes, he wishes others would take him more seriously and stop pigeonholing him into a box.  

Otherwise though, Kris is a genuinely cheerful and easily-excitable guy. As long as he's surrounded by people and given some sort of purpose, it doesn't take much to make him happy.  

Backstory 

• Kris rolled into the town of Pine Hill at the age of eight. His folks were going through a rough patch and decided to split up to sort things out. His father - a police officer - ended up taking him and they moved into the vacant house across the street from Alex and Mari.
  
  
• Kris didn’t know anyone so he often played kickball by himself. Alex always returned the ball and that was the start of their bromance. Kris gave him a walkie-talkie for his ninth birthday and they’ve been wrecking havoc and being dorks ever since (mostly Kris).
  
  
• High school life was a hazy blur. Kris was one of the “cool kids” and spent most of high school scoring touchdowns for the varsity team, getting wasted at parties, and trying to kiss girls. No matter how hard he tried, the last part never seemed to work out.
  
  
• Eventually left town for college. Kris majored in something not very "manly," something related to psychology and the humanities - his dad was disappointed (He’s aware his dad is kind of sexist).
  
  
• Rolled back into town after graduation to be with the squad.

Shortly after Kris returned to his hometown, he unwittingly got involved in a very bad supernatural anomaly. To celebrate the end of college, he and his friends left for a beach house on a secluded island. However, instead of partying like there's no tomorrow, they end up caught in an awful time loop with the long-suffering spirits of World War II soldiers who'd died in a submarine explosion.

Kris and the gang ended up having to perform a series of tasks for the deceased soldiers before they were finally allowed to return to the land of the living.

Fun Facts

• Loves waffles more than he loves booze. He took a waffle maker from Alex’s home.
  
  
• His dad is constantly shipping him with Marissa from church just because they dated that one time. Kris is really sick of it. He’s still semi in the closet - his family and relatives don’t know - but the squad knows all about his on-again-off-again thing with that boy from summer camp.

• The drunk friend who climbs in through windows at 2am with nachos. Mari and Alex (being his neighbors) are subjected to this often. They literally almost saw him fall to his death.
