Among the Sacred Thirteen Altars, Lady Luck is the Tenth Altar to have escaped from Avalon and thus in time becoming the Altar of Fortune.

Like their cousins before Lady Luck takes an interest in the mortal realm Avaridi an Uvaridi have both made but detested seeing mortal lives playing out in what was once before a linear story to her as if destined to any fate laid out before them. This is especially egregious for mortals that live more tragic lives often shaped by pains an loss out of their control or understanding but unable to break away from their pre-determined path.

It's circumstances like these that led Lady Luck to introducing her namesake, Luck, as a tangible element in the world. Her "Will" to mortals, a gift that forever shaped them, would be Chance itself in the hopes that it creates moments in their lives where a mortal can alter their own trajectory in life, often learning from their faults or seeking out help or retribution ... to redeem themselves, an change their fate among others for the better.

All good intentions from Lady Luck, as Luck itself now became apart of life just as any other element--but in time Mortals have made Luck itself a game to them in ways unintended. Games of Chance, taking bets, from casino games to lotteries Luck itself would become pseudonymous with Gambling an thus Lady Luck's image was changed to a Goddess of Fortune, not Redemption. This debate is still held amongst her more pious disciples, but all the while many addicted gamblers an mortals deprived of luck pray to her for what she deems an insulting lost cause.

Lady's will itself has been misunderstood leaving her insulted, becoming more apathetic towards others. Although her attitude can be cold at times, she does see her will still does mortals some good as all too often those who've made mistakes or lead dreadful lives ultimately receive an unforseen kindness... a Chance

A Single Chance to change an those who take it are proof of Lady Luck's good will.
