Summary

A gentle Vaiki with an interest in machinery, Riley grew up in Fryeburg, Maine, home to the largest agricultural fair in the state. But, like many children, the agricultural aspect was never the part that caught his eye as a kid - Riley always had an interest in the rides. But beyond just riding them, Riley had an interest in how they work. The different kinds, how they're put together, how they run, how they could theoretically be changed and improved... Anything and everything about them fascinated him. So it's no surprise that, when he got older, he found a summer job in an amusement park in the nearby town of Bartlett, New Hampshire, and temporary work attending rides at the fair as the season winds down and fall settles in.

Despite his love of his work and happiness at seeing the joy on kids' faces during their trips to the park and fair, Riley is somewhat quiet and introverted by nature. After work, he enjoys settling in at home for the night and relaxing with some origami, at which he is fairly skilled. He's recently begun trying to teach his friend and coworker, Thomas, to fold origami as well, though he's not very good at it. Their current goal is to fold 1,000 lucky stars (with which Riley plans to wish for his friend to be better as his new hobby).

Trivia

  • Riley is very gay.
  • Though he enjoys amusement rides, one Riley has never been able to enjoy properly are looping starships. He got sick when he rode one as a kid, and the experience turned him off from the ride ever since. He attibutes it to them going upside down, though, oddly enough, he's never had issues on looping coasters.
  • Riley is allergic to peanuts, and is incredibly saddened by the fact that he'll never get to try desserts like Reese's Cups or Peanut Buster Parfaits.
