Sativa was born destined to fall into her rightful role among the Degexit'an, and she may have been happy with that, had fate not spun the way it did.  

Once Sativa had learned how to walk, there was really no stopping her after.  Her mother had her hands full trying to keep the little one out of danger from her wandering.  One day, a few months following the birth of her sister Ethanga, she lost track of her little girl however.  Entrusting her youngest daughter to the tribe while she searched, the Pakkeli toddler had managed to waddle her way out of the protection of the forest.  As her mom reached the Forest's edge and laid eyes on the foreign fixtures of Yokovich, her eyes blanked out and her jaw dropped.  Her legs carried her towards her child, but even after she had picked up young Savita, they didn't stop moving her on.

Sativa and her mother would never return to the Degexit'an tribe, her mother fell in love with the lights and scenery at first sight, leaving her infant Ethanga to be raised by the tribe.  As they assimilated more to the modern setting of the rest of the mainland, Sativa's mother ended up joining with the military and settling in Gacru, where Sativa has never particularly felt comfortable enough to move from.  Hearing some of the stories of "the outsiders" that her mother would reminesse on, she is afraid that if she leaves the protective city of Gacru, she will be killed and harvested.  

She has no idea her sister, Ethanga (now Myrrh) has left the tribe and lives in the big city of Lolo, just southwest of Gacru.
