Alphonse

bio (child/teenager): as the son of a nomadic bounty hunter and her tagalong roboteer wife, you'd expect alphonse to be somewhat wild. however, even al's free-souled mom rosie didn't expect al to be as, well, wild as he turned out. al says barely anything to the point where many think he's mute, although he's perfectly capable of speaking; he just prefers to use actions rather than words to express what he wants. unfortunately, a lot of those actions tend to involve fire, such as the time he set his own tail on fire and attempted to toast marshmallows on it for a full five minutes until his mom realized what was going on. (the fur grew back.) this caliber of event is a fairly normal occurence for alphonse, and although he means no harm it does result in him not being allowed around most kids and his twin sister carrie being slightly terrified of him. he's kind of a loner, but it suits him this way.

bio (adult):  upon reaching adulthood, al recieved a full ride scholarship for a mechanical engineering degree at a top-tier coastal school. al packed up and headed to the college and spent a total of four days at the school before dropping out. instead of sitting in a classroom, al headed back to the desert and purchased a gas station/concessions stand smack dab in the middle of nowhere. it turned out that selling Gatorades and owning the only public toilet in an 150-mile range was a surprisingly successful endeavor, and al was able to buy a decent swathe of the surrounding land to, well, fuck around with. as an adult alphonse has no less interest in blowing stuff up, and he wasted no time turning his newfound land into what looked like a nuclear wasteland. he posts videos of his shenanigans on youtube and has somewhat of a cult following, garning more followers than his sister carrie to her eternal chagrin. alphonse also has a collection of mutated animals and genetic anomalies (real ones, not antlers glued to a rabbit or anything like that). he displays them in a mini-museum off to the side of his gas station for no price, although he rarely gets visitors to his weird little sideshow.

hobbies: playing with fire, running with scissors, desperately trying to befriend his twin sister

relationships: alphonse has two moms, rosie and pepper, although he's definitely closer with rosie as she doesn't nag him nearly as much. he like to think of his sister carrie as his best friend (which is probably true, for him) and although carrie pretends she hates the guy she really loves him as much as he loves her.

fun fact: despite never getting a formal education and seeming a few cloves short of a garlic, alphonse is incredibly good at math.
