Dixie came to the city through their adoption program that Cassius set up. She was brought in from a city pretty far off, unsure of her origins, but she seemed very chipper and excited to get a new home. When she arrived, Cassius had to try and help her find a foster family to live with for the time being, but the wolf-girl ended up clinging onto the mayor and wanted to stay with him. Cassius caved in, and decided to let Dixie live with him, despite how busy he always was. This lead to Dixie constantly being babysat by the various town residents, allowing her to make many bonds with the city-folk and learn more about the various object heads. Of course she asked a lot of questions at first, like why they didn't look like her, or what they were. For the most part, everyone was very patient.
Dixie is an excitable pup, who very rarely understands boundaries. She loves all things typically girly, like dolls, baby birds, ponies, the like. But she also seems to really enjoy things like mechanic shops or hanging around the local jeweler's place and watching him fix jewelry. She's fairly smart, doing really well in school [when she's not throwing a fit about not wanting to go,that is], and Cassius thinks she'll end up as a doctor or teacher herself.
She means well and loves all the people who look after her. [Though, like most kids, she likes some of her carers more than others.]
