Percy Verance is one of the main characters in my Undertale fanfiction Grouptale. He represents the Soul of Perseverance.

| Percy's parents were very rich scientists who lived in a mansion. Unfortunately, they were away all the time, so they couldn't look after Percy. Percy thus spent most of his time with his bestfriend Melody's family. When Melody began hanging out with Brayden (due to his mother asking Melody to), Percy became jealous and vindictive, and attempted to blackmail Brayden. It didn't work, though, and he and Melody had a falling out. He was hanging by himself when he was targeted by bullies, only to be saved by Clover and her brother. He and Melody then reconciled. | Percy comes across as stoic, emotionless and aloof. He usually sounds very bored or depressed. This is because he does not know how to express his emotions and struggles to understand the feelings of others. While he is academically very intelligent, he struggles deeply with social interaction and gets stressed very quickly. He is an otaku and a nerd, having read many different manga. He suffers from intense anxiety, and is prone to having breakdowns. He has a darker, selfish side to his personality, such as when he tried to Brayden so Melody would stop being friends with him. To this day he has mixed feelings about Brayden. During his Ban Kai stage, he becomes a lot more confident and brave. He was unafraid to battle Undyne. Percy cares very deeply for Melody as she was the only person there for him for a lot of his childhood. He also has acrush on Clover, but is unable to express his affections. |

| Percy and Faye do not have many moments together, but are good friends. Faye sometimes like making jokes with Percy. Unlike other characters, she doesn't mind his stoic nature. | Brayden thinks Percy is a weirdo. He tries to stir him up sometimes to get him to speak. Percy used to hate Brayden, since he was jealous of his friendship with Melody, but is slowly starting to see him as a friend. | Melody and Percy are very close friends. Despite his aloof nature, Melody is able to connect with Percy and understand him. Although he is rather anti-social, Percy cares about Melody a lot, and gets jealous when she hangs out with other people. He feels lonely without her. Their relationship is not romantic. | Percy and Cody do not interact much, but they seem to have a good relationship. Cody is respectful of Percy, unlike some of the other characters, and Percy respects him in turn. | Percy seems to be intimidated by Clover, though it is revealed he has feelings for her. However, due to his socially awkward nature he is unable to talk to her about it. Clover seems to think Percy is unusual but still respects him. | Frisk and Percy had a rough start due to Frisk stealing Percy's book. However, Percy grew fond of Frisk when they supported him.
