Appearance

Kudzu is built like a building, towering over most other dragons his age and even some that are older than him. He's long and lanky, with larger than average wings and a deeper chest than other LeafWings have. Being a LeafWing, Kudzu is a forest green color but with many dark brown, light brown and gold scales scattered throughout his body. His mom would always point out how weird he looks and how his looks really go along with his personality. Kudzu's horns are a very dark green, as are the spikes on his back. The undersides of his wings and webbing are a light green and his underbelly is yellow. The topsides of his wings match the odd coloring on his body, with dark brown, light brown and gold colorings present at random intervals. His eyes are gold.

Personality

Kudzu is... strange, to put it politely. A lot of dragons tend to be put off by the way he talks (namely, the odd way he'll describe things and the fact that he refers to himself in third person) and sometimes they won't even know how to respond to him. This had lead to him being dubbed a "weirdo" by most other dragones, who will usually just ignore him or say something mean to him. Honestly though, he usually won't mind. If they can't take him at his weirdest then he doesn't want to be friends with them.

Although Kudzu can be a little on the secretive side, when he's around his friends he'll turn into quite the open book. He has been known to open up quickly if he feels like he can trust the other dragon however, but be warned; Once he has given them his trust, if they betray him in any way, Kudzu will most likely never trust them again. Or at the very least he will always be wary around them.

Foxglove

Kudzu's mother and probably his least favorite dragon in the world. He always dreaded being in her prescence. Foxglove would point out every little flaw of Kudzu's, from the way he acted to the way he talked, in order to try and make him a more presentable son. Nevertheless, he didn't turn out the way she had wanted and was always quick to remind him of this. Now that he's older, Kudzu hardly sees his mom.

Trivia:

• Foxglove kept up with the "PoisonWing" tradition of naming their dragonets after dangerous plants. Kudzu hates his namesake and thinks it's incredibly creepy.
• Kudzu's original design looked like this. After developing his personality a bit more though, I found that design didn't seem to fit anymore. I still liked it however and ended up using it as part of another character design, pictured here.
• Admittedly, Kudzu's personality is inspired by the character Nugget from the video game series, Kindergarten. I love that game too much, I couldn't help myself.
