Creature

Crinoline was born and raised in the Trapdoor tribe. She was born an anxious and high-strung toskal, and found it difficult to fit in with her creative and confident peers. When the time came for her rite, she was terrified. Crinoline knew that she was bound to face her doom.

Crinoline managed to skimp by on her rite, just barely surviving alone. Nuts and berries were her main source of nutrition, since they didn't need to be captured. Crinoline was distressed. Even if she managed to survive the whole rite - highly unlikely - she would return to her tribe dishelved and dishonored. With fierce determination, she began brainstorming. Collecting silk from nearby silkworms, Crinoline began making her traps. She trapped fish, rabbits, squirrels, and other unfortunate creatures. Trapping was difficult, and definitely tested her patience. However, after a long time, it became second nature to her.

Crinoline had finally found herself. Her confidence and patience flourished, and made her into the toskal she is today.

She returned to the Trapdoor tribe with the pelts of many creatures, a collection of silkworms, and the thread woven by them. She was welcomed back with open arms, and became the resident silkworm breeder and threadsmith.
