Rain - as she is called most of the time - is a very short but fierce  warrior. Thanks to her curled ears she was always considered a little  bit different but was never excluded or treated differently than any  other member of the clan. She is a hard worker, quite introverted but  passionate when it comes to her duties and the loyalty to her clan. She  loves her sister very much but had to step aside when Sandnose found her  mate and started a little family of her own.

She is very close to her leader Dewstar - much to the dismay of some  other clanmates. An unfortunate crush on her clanmate Swiftheart ends  disastrous, leaving her heartbroken and bitter. Rainwing manages to turn  all this frustration into motivation to work on her skills and support  the rest of the clan. She gets to train Nighthawk into a fine warrior  and eventually becomes deputy after a huge pray-stealing event.

As she discovers Nighthawk bonding with her half-brother Sparkflight,  though, her heart gets broken yet again and she isolates herself, hardly  speaking to anybody except when it comes to her duties as deputy.

She befriends the young Pigeonpaw when she becomes an apprentice under  Swiftheart as her mentor. Rain sees this as an opportunity to hurt  Swiftheart by forming a stronger bond with the young cat. She ends up  teaching Pigeonpaw a lot more than her actual mentor and spends a lot of  time with her - which is easy as Pigeon hardly has any friends in the  clan.

Rainwing never actually gets to become leader of her clan. Due to her  actions she ends up in the Dark Forest but never seeks out revenge. She  just bathes in her mysery, regretting all the hurt she caused for the  ones she loved but never appreciated enough.
