Zasa Entelci is a 25 year old huntress of the Order of Union, a religious order-turned-adventurer's guild, which operates a network of handymen and women across Isico, solving various magical cases: possessions, spiritual anomalies, malfunctioning constructs, rogue mages and troublesome beasts.
Born in the saddle on the wide open steppe of the Grand Serahat Plain, Zasa was the daughter of a nomad family, but she had scarcely learned to stay in that saddle before her clan met a violent end at the hands of a band of frontier colonists from the Kingdom of Senuk-Riyva, herself becoming the sole survivor. The encounter left her with a bitter hatred of the Kingdom, and a lasting fear of the roar of cannon fire.
Eventually the 15 year old Zasa found her way into settled lands, and quickly found stable occupation as a settler of scores, working as hired muscle for the gangs in Serahat city, and eventually even rising to take jobs for the local aristocrats. The underworld life after some years proved unstimulating however, and she soon began to look for more ambitious work. Around this time was when Zasa first began to make her first forays into the arcane, and found that she had a natural talent for communion with the spirits dwelling in the Afar. Thus she was drawn to the local chapter of the Order of Union, and from there began to carve out a new career as a Huntress of spirits, elves and monsters.
Rash, cocky and prone to picking fights - both drunk and sober - Zasa is a hothead, usually to her own detriment, and notoriously bad with money.
In a curious twist of fate, she would eventually pick up an Elfin travel companion, Eliza, when the latter was possessed and turned into an emissary of He Who Whispers, a lucid god trapped in the Afar, until the spirit was exorcised by Zasa. The two quickly became inseparable.
