Profile

Personality

Zella has a fun, jokey, laid back personality. She often likes to tease her friends, causing some of them to be miserable. However, she is always there to lend a ear to those she cares about. She likes to keep a mysterious persona, and thus often does not give a straight forward response to questions.

Appearance

Zella has white hair and a beauty mark under her right eye. When she is in her shop, she tends to wear a more formalish wear: a white collared shirt with ruffles around the top sections with buttons, an odd waistcoat/corset-ish combination, and a long black skirt that goes down to her feet. She can often been seen wearing a black choker that also has another necklace dangling from it. The gem  on her choker varies in colors, as she has multiple of the same design except for the gem. The necklace however is only on one of them, as it holds a locket like contraption which holds the photos of the three people whom she holds closest to her heart.

Background

The Zella grew up as a single child in an old town with her parents who were also ghouls, however they were not shunned away from society; as it was essentially kept a secret in her family. Since they did not need human food to survive, Zella's family owned a baker. Often baking goods to sell, and would give the leftovers at the end of the day to the ones in need. Essentially, her family was well know for being a kind bunch.

Zella's best friend and first love was a human orphan boy named Dwyt (pronounced like Dwight). He was her first friend, as she was very shy and afraid of humans at first. However as time went on and Dwyt's stubbornness, they became fast friends. Often seen and known around town as the Mischief Duo, they would play friendly pranks on the neighbors but always helped them with something in the end. Soon however, the happy days ended.

At the age of 17, the town of which Zella resided in was attacked by a huge band of ghouls. Her parents, still owning the bakery, shoved their entire life savings into their daughter's hands and told her to run away while they protected the town from the ofher ghousl. Zella ran away as she was instructed to with great displeasure, and went to find her friend Dwyt. Dwyt was luckily close by, and Zella grabbed his hand and ran. Unexpectedly, a ghoul was able to track them down, and Dwyt shielded Zella from the deadly blow. With a scream of fury she showed her kagune and defeated the ither ghoul immediately with no mercy. Holding the now dying Dwyt in her arms, she began to cry; calling him stupid and stubborn:

A warm chuckle came out of him, causing him to cough up blood. It was bad. Blood everywhere, everything was red. "Y-you know," he said, coughing again "there wasn't a single day in my life that I regretted when I spent it with you."

"Shut up... you dumb asshole. What do you think you were doing huh??"

He chuckled again, slowly lifting a shaking hand to my face. "That crying expression... it... doesn't suit you at all..."

"And who's fault is that?" I snapped, glaring at his pale face. "You dumbass... stupid stubborn dumbass..."

"H-hey now" he coughed, "that's no way... to treat a dying man."

"You're not dying."

"Zella..."

"No. You're not dying. Not now. Not ever."

"Zella..."

"You can't leave me here by myself Dwyt... you can't do that", I said as I started to sob harder, closing my eyes and hiccuping.

"Zella... Look at me. Please" he said, his voice getting softer.

Reluctantly, I opened my eyes to look at his now cloudy eyes, barely able to stay open. Even his hand was starting to drop to the ground.

"Before... before I go... I need to tell you something..."

There was a pause.

"Zella... promise me, that no matter what... no matter how hard life gets from here on out... you'll always be smiling... please... promise me that."

I swallowed. "O-okay. I promise you."

Dwyt's smile grew bigger. "Thank you," he barely whispered, "I...love you. I have... for a long time now... so please... be happy..."

"Dwyt...? Hey Dwyt... this isn't the time to be pulling a prank on me. That isn't nice Dwyt. Dwyt? Dwyt. Dwyt please, wake up it's not the time to sleep right now. DWYT!"
