She grew up surrounded by guys, for the same reason her personality is something masculine. After growing up she met Alexandra by accident, someone completely opposed to her, who slowly makes her feminine side come back.
At the early age of 16 she got her tattoos, all three of her back meaning her family (The big star is her mother, the middle star she and the little one her brother), the lonely star in her abdomen represents her father who, when Laura was 8 year, he died in an accident to save his brother from being run over by a car when he went looking for a lost ball while playing together in the garden.
The stars on her back symbolize the burden on her back, feeling responsible for caring for her family since her father's death, as he did when he saved his brother. The star in front symbolizes the great influence and admiration she feels for her father and everything he did for her family, that is why she wants to become his replacement and honor his existence.
