Profile

Name: Jazel Murphy
Species: Maned Wolf
Nickname[s]: Really Tall Doge, Wentz [mostly by Knox], Jizz/Jizzle [by Zeke only. ......rude]
Age: 24 [just a young adult maned wolf in feral form]
Sex: Male
Sexual Orientation: Gay
Romantic Orientation: Homo-romantic [for Stretch only]
Relationship Status: Taken by
Stretch Adams
Personality: Nervous, anxious, paranoid, very sweet and loyal, generally happy and optimistic when he's not freaking out over something, but has full-out meltdowns if he loses his Pete Wentz doll - he CANNOT function without it
Bad Habits: Scratching his head, scratching at his scars / fresh cuts, avoiding going out even when he really wants to, following people like a lost puppy when he wants to be friends with them [he literally doesn't know how to make friends...if he likes you, he'll literally be like velcro on you, and he'll often give WAY too much to you... like money and personal items - he tries to give gifts in order to make the other person like him???], WAY too submissive [to the point of nearly being a literal doormat - he probably would lay outside the front door if Zeke told him to], his happiness relies too much on things and people [like his Pete doll, as well as those he actually considers friends or WANTS to be friends with], blanking out / zoning out if he gets angry and doing things he doesn't realize he's doing until someone pulls him away and snaps him out of it
Piercings: stretched earlobes[??? do dogs have those], septum, tongue double-pierced
Friendship/Relationship to...
...Eleanor:...friend-ish????????? For some reason, he's terrified of her??? [Granted, it IS for a reason...that only Jazel, Eleanor (though Jazel doesn't know Eleanor knows), and Lily know - Eleanor looks a lot like Jazel's father did, in many ways...though she's not related to Jazel in the slightest.] She's the sweetest thing, though, and is super duper patient with him, even if he has never spoken one word to her.
...Knox: BFFS FOR LIFE. Although Knox is clearly confused as to what "asexual" means and is constantly trying to shove Jazel at attractive people...he's really the only reason Jazel has any friends at all. They met in high school when Jazel was being bullied for carrying around a doll at age 15. Knox beat up the jerks who made fun of Jazel, ending up suspended for a bit...but. Jazel visited him everyday to keep him company and up to date with school work. Knox introduced Jazel to his...umm..."friend" Trippie, who eventually introduced him to Squidgit and Spuddle after he had settled in with his group and getting to know Lily and Eleanor.
...Lily: Close friend. She's the only person that Jazel feels 100% comfortable around if Knox isn't around. Mostly because she takes care of the group as a "mother figure", and is very calm and soothing. She's the only one who knows how to talk him through a meltdown or panic attack. Lily went with Jazel to both get their tongues pierced! She watched him get his septum pierced too.
...Spuddle: Acquaintance. ...He has no opinion on Spuddle. Spuddle is just kind of there. Sometimes. He's there then he's not. You'd think how often Squidgit hangs around Jazel, that Spuddle would be around too. But. Nope. Spuddle does what Spuddle wants, yo.
...Squidgit: Friend by default??? Squidgit is kind of like a parasite you can never quite get rid of. No matter where he is, whenever he turns around, she's kinda just...always right there. She drags him all over the place, getting him into all sorts of trouble. He definitely finds her to be SUPER annoying...but...At least she's not Zeke. Besides. It's also fun for him to tease her about their size difference - her being under five feet tall, and him pushing seven feet.
...Trippie: Friend...kind of. He's definitely grateful for her introducing him to friends...but...She's worse with respecting boundaries than Knox...and is often found trying to get him in bed. Jazel is CLEARLY uninterested, but Trippie...uhhh...Well. Trippie tends to see it as more of a challenge than anything. When Knox is around, he'll stop her and distract her in his own ways. But. He's often left to fend for himself.
...Zeke: Cousin. Zeke used to be somewhat fine [if somewhat traumatized] when he first came to live with Jazel...but became colder and more rebellious as he found himself unable to cope with his parents' deaths. Jazel was beside himself when he'd find Zeke coming home later and later, eyes bloodshot, sometimes unsteady with dilated pupils. He knew Zeke was getting into some bad things, but whenever he'd try to help...Zeke would just get meaner. Nowadays, he is super manipulative, takes advantage of Jazel's anxiety [not only in the sense that he can do what he wants if he just blackmails Jazel enough...but also in the sense that he often steals Jazel's medication to sell to kids at his school]...Jazel often feels that it's his own fault that his little cousin turned out the way he did...but...There is really not much he can do when the kid doesn't....listen?????
Lives in: A small one-story house with Zeke
Favorite Food: Cheese sandwiches, especially when Lily makes them!
Favorite Drink: Milk
Favorite Color: Red
Favorite Band: Fall Out Boy
Bio:
Jazel's mother died when he was 7 years old, so he hardly remembers a time when he was actually unconditionally loved. His father...was a bitter broken man when Jazel's mother died. Although it couldn't be helped [it was a completely random heart attack, as she was quite healthy, being active and watching what she ate all the time], Jazel's father blamed him for his mother's death, saying he caused her too much stress [no way, he was the light of her life!], that he always whined [untrue, he was a happy child], or that he must have done SOMETHING to her to make her just...die. It couldn't have been random, no. It HAD to have been someone's fault. Better blame the kid.

By the time he was 13, his father was extremely verbally, physically [and otherwise] abusive toward him. He hated school because the kids were cruel, but hated coming home even more. At the end of his 8th grade year [14 years old], Jazel came home to find his father ended Jazel's torment, with no note. He buried his father in the backyard, and that was that. He finished up his classes throughout the week, preparing for high school. However, the school had never found out that Jazel lived on his own with no parents. Jazel carried on like nothing happened...but still extremely paranoid that he'd still get in trouble for, well, SOMETHING.

He met a tall cheetah boy named Knox [who was in the same grade, but a year older than himself] his third week of his freshman year, while some seniors were picking on him for carrying a doll around school. When Knox stood up for Jazel, knocking the upperclassmen out, Jazel latched onto the boy like superglue.

When he was 18, he found out his father's extremely rich brother and his husband - the only family Jazel still had, but had no contact with since his mother died - passed away in a plane crash...and that he had a 7 year old adopted cousin named Zeke that he never knew, but was given immediate custody for. Very quickly, Jazel went from having nothing but a few friends he was too nervous to make plans with...to inheriting ten million dollars...and...a small child. Uh. He had no idea what to do with a kid, but vowed to do everything in his power to keep him safe! Especially since he knew what it was like to lose at least one parent at that age. At first, Zeke was very withdrawn and quiet, but seemed somewhat appreciative of his older cousin giving him shelter and food and whatnot. Within a month, though, that potential for a good family relationship deteriorated basically down to nothing. Zeke began to break things in Jazel's house, telling him it was his own fault. He'd come home from work to find little things missing here and there. He tried to work with Zeke, showing him love...but Zeke knew just how to push Jazel's buttons...and did all that he could to make his cousin's life hell. And Jazel felt like a complete failure letting a little kid "win".

It was almost worse than living with his father.

After six years, life with Zeke never quite got better, but it got less...stressful the less Jazel really put effort into the kid. He seemed like a lost cause, only just at 13, coming home drunk or high all the time, taking things and money [as if the kid really needed that, seeing as he inherited at least 3 times as much as Jazel] right in front of Jazel's face without batting an eye. Honestly, when Jazel pretended Zeke didn't exist and hung out with his crew, life seemed...relaxing. Almost...good? He had some pretty great friends, and often times, he had Knox to knock some sense into Zeke when he's gotten way out of control....as well as Lily to calm Jazel down when it became too much.

Spuddle still just likes rocks. A lot.
