Daisy grew up with two sisters in a small New York flat. Initially, her mutation appeared to be feral-type and purely strength based; but over time, it began to manifest physical mutations like scales and yellow eyes, as well as enhanced toughness and healing. Unfortunately, it didn't help her to regrow her lost leg.

Daisy's childhood was fairly simple; she grew up in a small New York flat, and her sisters did most of the childcare as her parents were both away for work a lot. Her relationships took a nosedive when her mutation started to show, however, as Daisy was too young to hide it or understand.
Years later, no longer talking to her family, Daisy was attacked by anti-mutant protestors. She was so badly injured that her leg had to be amputated below the knee. This spurred her on to join the Brotherhood, where she met Freddy and started dating him.
It didn't take long for her to get tired of being mistreated by Magneto, and seeing her friends get hurt over and over. Along with Freddy and Mortimer, she deflected to the XMen hoping for a new start.
Daisy's mutation was unstable though, and at 24 she went through a secondary mutation that started showing physical signs. She mutated once more three years later.

-Daisy's mutation is reptile-like; manifesting as sections of scales across her skin, and the enhanced strength, stamina, healing and speed associated with feral-type mutations like Sabretooth.
