About
Einar is less about talking and more about action. If he talks, it is meaningful and thought out. When someone first meets him, Einar can be seen as distant and arrogant but in actuality, he is very personable and confident in himself. More often than not, you will find him either at his shop slaving over a fire or at a local tavern drinking until morning. He doesn't wake up early and always sleeps until midday.
Einar has been proven time and time again to be the best blacksmith in Kolgari(possibly even in all the kingdoms). He has the respect of many despite those that would try and taint his reputation.

Background
Born and raised in the kingdom of Kolgari, Einar witnessed many deaths at a young age. By the age of three, his mother had died by hanging. Kolgarian officers told his family that it was suicide but evidence pointed to foul play. It wasn't but a year after that his older sister just vanished, presumably dead. Not long after Einar turned fifteen, his father - who had found a new wife the year before - decided to have a child which was his brother, Tharmir. Unfortunately the wife died during labor. Einar was twenty years old when his older brother was killed while fighting in a war in a far away kingdom. His most recent death was his father, who died when he was twenty two years old. He wasn't even sure what he died from. Loneliness maybe.
Growing up with no parents, Einar quickly learned to provide for himself and for Tharmir. He took up cooking, manual labor, and even gardening. Once he was skilled enough to join the army in Kolgari, he did so without haste. It provided an income better than what he could manage to scrounge up on his own and he served as a soldier dutifully, even earning a tattoo validifying his honor, until a terrible back injury took him out of commission. By this point, his reputation as a soldier was solidified and the new captain offered him the opportunity to take up a new craft; blacksmithing. From there on out, Einar was always taking commissions for weapon repairs and the like. He quickly honed his craft and became notorious as one of the best in all the kingdoms.
Some nine years later, Kolgari was constantly under attack from orcs that had decided they wanted the territory as their own. The captain quickly sent word for aide from any neighboring kingdoms and when all hope seemed to be lost, the kingdom of Bruidour sent a single dwarf to help. Einar was pleasantly surprised to meet him. His name was Birgi, a prince of Bruidour. Birgi requested that Einar forge him a very specific kind of sword so that he might help Kolgari to the best of his ability and they very quickly hit it off. Tensions quickly rose when Einar spoke of how much he disliked Arvid, the captain leading the army. The two of them got into an argument and left off on a sour note hours before orcs would attack the Western border. Come later that night after fending off the orcs, a group of guards were ordered by Arvid, to take Einar into custody for suspected treason and claimed that he hexed the prince's sword and in turn, caused him to lose his hand in battle. Arvid ordered for the removal of Einar's head tattoo by way of fire according to the laws, saying that he lacked honor. Although Einar was innocent, he was never given a fair trial nor given the chance to defend his honor which goes against Kolgari customs.
Einar is currently held prisoner in a dingy cell with no food, water, or a place to sleep, chained by his wrists and ankles. Birgi was quick to go and see Einar to have him forge something for him and was appalled by the state they kept him in. The prince ordered the guards to at least feed him and give him water and a place to sleep and even had his restraints removed. Einar is incredibly thankful for this and hopes that Birgi can somehow get him out before Kolgari gives the order for his execution.

Birgi It's Complicated
Einar met Birgi when Birgi came to Kolgari to help them during the turf war with the orcs. The two very quickly hit it off and playfully flirted here and there before having a short fling. Having been born in Kolgari, Einar - just like most Kolgarians - didn't take fooling around in bed lightly and quickly became affectionate towards Birgi. The feelings didn't seem to be reciprocated by Birgi despite their obvious chemistry and it upset Einar. The two of them got into a bit of an argument and then that same night, the orcs attacked. Without much warning, Einar was quickly taken into custody on suspicions of him hexing Birgi's sword. Birgi was quick to come by and see Einar and saw how he was being treated poorly. Birgi took it upon himself to come by and make sure he got food and water and slowly began thinking that maybe if Einar had hexed his sword that it might not have been on purpose. The two are still distant but Einar still holds feelings for Birgi and hopes that one day it will be reciprocated.
Arvid Enemies
Einar met Arvid after he was already in the army for about 15 years. Not even a year later, Einar sustained a terrible back injury that put him out of commission which may or may not have been a coincidence seeing as they were both vying for captain... Arvid was made captain short after and was quick to give Einar other work and even helped him get the tools and shop he'd need to become a blacksmith for Kolgari. Einar was thankful for this but still had reservations about the captain's intent. The two are on awful terms as of late due to Arvid accusing Einar of hexing the prince's sword and throwing him into a holding cell as a prisoner when he hasn't been given a proper trial. Arvid would have him executed if he has it his way and Einar fears that is his fate and remains in a cell to this day.
