About
Tobias was taken from his zone as an infant by zone cops, after it was destroyed by Dark Enerjak. He had an incredible power that was somehow inherited from the dark god, which they could not allow to fall out of check. Instead of taking his soul to use as a Prelate, Dark Enerjak found something different about Tobias -- something he could use. He left behind a part of his soul, ensuring that should this vessel fall, he would not be stopped. From his days as a cub to a matured adult, Tobias was trained as a zone cop, while the elites watched him and his power closely. By the time his adolescence had come to pass, the engineers of the no-zone developed an inhibiting necklace, that would suppress the incredible power of Dark Enerjak Tobias somehow came to acquire. Up until this point in his life, Tobias had remained blissfully unaware of this power, but his seniors would not inform him fully of this power... Instead they lied by omission, simply stating that if Tobias removed this necklace, the power he possessed would one day overcome him, and he would surely die.
He one day abandoned the Zone Cops, finding refuge in the Prime Mobius. His fate would cross with a growing mob boss in the Empire City underground, Guss. The coati mobster saw Tobias being quite a valuable asset, taking him in as his right hand henchman. Growing from a Zone Cop recruit into a capable mercenary, Tobias Duskmantle is a force to be reckoned with.

Tobias always has an impact on his immediate surroundings. Laughing and entertaining with a blunt and earthy humor, he loves to be the center of attention. If an audience member is asked to come on stage, Tobias volunteers – or volunteers a shy friend. Theory, abstract concepts and plodding discussions about global issues and their implications don’t keep him interested for long. Tobias keeps his conversation energetic, with a good dose of intelligence, but he likes to talk about what is – or better yet, to just go out and do it. He leaps before he looks, fixing his mistakes as he goes, rather than sitting idle, preparing contingencies and escape clauses.

But if he minimizes the trouble-making, harnesses his energy, and focuses through the boring stuff, he's a force to be reckoned with.
Tobias has a unique skill in noticing small changes, with an intense perceptive, unfiltered view. Whether a shift in facial expression, a new clothing style, or a broken habit, he picks up on hidden thoughts and motives where most would be lucky to pick up anything specific at all. He uses these observations immediately, calling out the change and asking questions, often with little regard for sensitivity. Tobias should remember that not everyone wants their secrets and decisions broadcast. Tobias sports a dark, vibrant shade of crimson in his fur, making him easily stand out within a crowd. Despite it's more dull qualities, the sheen kept from his care makes him aggressively pop, being rather "in your face" to complement the very same attitude. Throughout his fur, black wavy streaks line his arms and legs, also overtaking his paws and hands. His chest and tip of his tail are a cloudy white -- about as fluffy as one too. While many people do not notice at first, Tobias has heterochromia: his left eye is a pale shade of sky blue, while his right is a much deeper, navy blue. His hair is long and wild, once again matching his personality -- he'll most often keep the back up together in a ponytail.
Tobias's outfit is a middle ground mixture of various blacks and grey, much less eye catching than his contrasting fur. There are patches of dark and light blue leather throughout, serving as highlights for his suit.
Gwendolyn Calloway: Girlfriend
❤❤❤❤❤To say Tobias's relationship with Gwen got off to a rocky start would be an understatement, as it was essentially forced upon them by their father figures. What started off as a one night stand soon became a joint union among the Linard and Calloway syndicates, leaving both as insignificant others. It was a commitment neither of them wanted in the slightest, but would not dare dishonor, in fear of disappointing Guss or Harrison respectively. A hollow, meaningless love is formed as a farce for the public through this, but their distaste for the relationship does not last forever. Slowly but surely, Tobias and Gwen come to realize they share more in common than they'd like to admit... including a blooming love for one another.
Guss: Superior
❤❤❤Guss Linard is a mob boss of the Empire City underground, whom Tobias works for as a personal mercenary. When he abaondoned the No-Zone authority and fled to the prime zone, Guss offered refuge and hid him from their search units. In the following years Tobias came to see Guss as a father figure, for raising him through the rest of his adolescence and allowing him shelter. He knows for himself that Guss holds this over his head as a means to keep him from being disloyal, but is also unaware of the true intentions Guss has for him...
Backstory
Childhood
Tobias barely had the chance to be a child, before the winds of change violently rushed around him.
His birthplace has not a name, but a designation, due to it`s state of ruination: Zone-0081. Dark Enerjak ruled with an iron fist over the world of Mobius in this zone, but his hold would not endure forever. An intruder from another dimension arrived and assisted the No-Zone force in dethroning him, felling his army and restoring their souls one by one. On the brink of his defeat and desperate to preserve his power, He leveled the nation of Constinance, the largest known refuge of Zone-0081`s resistance. Enerjak destroyed everything in his path, and reaped the life force from everyone in his way, regardless of their physical health or combat prowess -- that was, until... he came across Tobias and his family.
The jackal cub was barely two years old, but Enerjak sensed something within his soul that none other possessed. Something... like he had. Tobias would be the perfect vessel. With his time running rapidly short, Enerjak imposed a part of his soul upon Tobias, killed and raised his parents as his new prelates, then fled to avoid the oncoming soldiers of the No-Zone. It wasn't long before they arrived upon the ruined settlement, scouring through the wreckage for anyone who survived the wrath of Enerjak. The young jackal was among the scarce few, but he was only found due to their energy detectors picking up an obscurely potent reading. It's signature was identical to Enerjak's, which lead to a collective agreement that they could not let this out of their sights.
Following Enerjak's eventual defeat, the No-Zone force retreated to their headquarters, with Tobias in tow. The superiors of the authority concurred with the suggestions of their surveyors, taking Tobias and raising him to be one of their soldiers. He was kept under close observation, to make sure his power was kept in check.
