Name: yall can name him he dont have one

Age: 3 years old

Race: Myconid

Class: Blood Hunter

Height: 5’ 9’’

Alignment: ??

Origin: ??

Background:

He is interesting for a Myconid as he accidentally infested the body of a Blood Hunter. Just as he sprouted from the corpse of an insect, he was plucked by a Blood Hunter who passed by mistaken as a regular cordyceps militaris (known for their medicinal purposes), separating him from his circle. Before being properly ingested, the traveler was gravely injured, cutting open his stomach, emptying it of its acid and filling it with blood for them to feast on. As the traveler was treated for his wounds, They infested his new host. He consumed the traveler’s mind and driving the man into insanity and him into control.

Since being able to control his new body, he’s wandered the land, trying to find a purpose, not really interested in his origin. He passes off as a man who hunts, selling his good meats and consuming the lesser desired parts and more unusual hunts himself.

He’s done some questionable things, not that he thinks they are. I mean, who needs five children for goodness sake? That’s just a financial burden, right? They’re worth more in their weight in flesh anyway.

Since gaining control of this body, he has “accidentally” ate the man’s arms. In his defense, they looked beefy and tasty. As a lack of arms would be troublesome, he’s grown more fungi from the stumps of his arms to accommodate for hands.

As it currently stands, the Raven Queen which this body had served now commands him to head north from the southern island in which he was brought to consciousness. She calls upon him to seek the “Hero’s Journey” in which he had been handed a flier. To what this entails he does not know. Moreso, he is content in finding something to do other than aimlessly wandering the lands he cannot call home.

Personality:

As Myconids are usually a singular entity and not a parasitic organism, he was not like his other circle mates which he has been promptly separated from. Although a Myconid, by infesting a mind of a blood hunter, and not being raised by his kind, he lacks the benevolent nature of his race.

Furthermore, his mind is in a limbo. Lacking the conviction of a blood hunter yet possessing the abilities of one, unable to sympathize with his kind as he was not raised by them, and lost without a purpose to live. He searches for a meaning to be and for now settles on just surviving with the little knowledge he has acquired from the traveler’s mind and a week’s worth of memories before he was plucked.

He does not quite understands the morals of most races. He knows of them, he just does not particularly value or hold himself up to those values. He sees all kinds of flesh as nutrients although he does value his allies more… perhaps as more valuable nutrients? He does not quite understand his thoughts himself.

Although he does not understand the emotions of most, he tries his best to be… normal. Well, as normal as a parasitic fungus can be passing of as a traveler.

Knives:

  • He maaaaay eat children? (hot sweaty)
  • He doesn’t know his origin, both his host or his circle of myconids. So if he were to run into them, he’d have no way of knowing.
  • Although cognizant, lacks many moral values and so he can cause some unintentional problems he did decided not to remember.
  • He may or may not have nightmare inducing fungi coming out of every orifice of his host’s body
  • Allergic to oregano oil and vinegar
  • Hungry boi
