A primary character of my fantasy romance Stardust Magus, Alexander Westley is a senior professor at Saint Murgatroyd's Magical Academy. He's stern and unforgiving, but students still vie for a spot in one of his advanced classes due to his fierce intelligence.
A primary faculty member as well as a professor, Alexander is deeply involved with the school's inner workings, and is Principal Clearwater's closest friend and confidant. He is vocally against the faculty's decision to bring Aurora on as a security guard, viewing her as a dangerous threat to the school. Unable to stop Principal Clearwater's decision to go forward with the plan anyway, he requested to personally manage her integration into school's security as well as control the damper that prevents her from using the full strength of her magic.
Alexander comes across as stern and restrained, but underneath has a dry sense of humor and playfulness. He doesn't hate Aurora as much as he expected to, which he finds alarming.
