After years of refining this ability, she can use spiritual contact items to speak with spirits and demons in the beyond - and sometimes even beyond the beyond, wherever that is

She's currently employed as a body piercer

Alyssa is Esther's best friend and has been since they were next door neighbours as children
While they look and act like complete opposites, people speculate this is why they get on so well together
She usually assists Esther in contacting spirits in other realms when it becomes necessary to a mystery
She also has a massive crush on her, to which Esther remains frustratingly oblivious to

She knew Hadley when he was alive and is helping Esther in figuring out why his spirit is still hanging around, as well as the truth behind the cause of his death.
While she can't physically see him, she can communicate with him through items such as ouiji boards and spirit dice

She doesn't get along with the newcomer Lola; they both tend to be stubborn and hot-headed and thus clash often
She's also mildly jealous about how easily Lola gets along with Esther, and to a lesser extent, the other members of the group

She gets along surprisingly well with Angel, they share a lot of cynical views and a taste in fashion
Alyssa often calls them the 'only other normal one in this group of idiots'

Danny's mannerisms and constant wheel of gossip tends to get on her nerves, but she has to admit that he's a reliable source for information
Lately they have been getting along better by bonding over their love issues
